Too Young

Chapter 8

The walk home was quite but a million questions ran through my mind. When we got I the reck that is our house I ran up the stairs when i herd mom call "get back down here".

"Yeah mom"? My voice turns shaky and  afraid
"Are family is a reck okay we aren't doing to well"
"I know mom"
" well Alice let me tell you I would be fine if you weren't born" she says with out even hesitation.
My chest felt like it was going to explode if I didn't say anything so this time I let 5 years fly off of my lips.

"HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT! You are the worst mother in the world I'm the one that is keeping oh from dying from the lowest of low" I scream.

"You want to see low? You want to see LOW? Take a look in the mirror honey because you will be looking at low."

My heart hurt I ran out the front door without even thinking. I gasped when my phone started to ring in my pocket so I stopped.

The display said Luke❤️. I thought of just ignoring it but then my finger pressed talk.

"Hey Alice umm, are we still on for tonight"? He said awkwardly. "Um Luke I don't think I can go" I cried, my voice all scratchy and sniffing my nose.

He could obviously tell I was crying. "Bye Luke" I pouted then kept running. I knew where I was going, one place I felt safe, down by the ledge my and Luke always sit at.

When I got there I sat on the edge for about 15 minutes just thinking and crying of my worthlessness when I car pulled up.

"Alice" the voice said I could tell it was Luke's. I kept staring out into the city not even looking at him. His arms rapped around me like a blanket. I felt safe.

I broke down right in his arms and hugged him. "Alice what happened"? Luke asked. "My mom she's terrible I'm worthless and today at school" the words I wanted to say we're all jumbled up.

My breathing started to get heavy than Luke held me even tighter into his arms . "You know what"? Luke asked "I think that you deserve a nice dinner at Denny's" he said letting go.

He is so nice. "Can I maybe go to your place and fix my makeup. I brought my bag when I ran it was still on my shoulder. I bring it everywhere.

My makeup, charger, headphones, gum, drawing book with pencils and my phone are always in it.

"Sure" luke said helping me up then hugging me all the way to his car.

When we got to his place it was only a little run down apartment. Surprisingly. He kept his room clean and ironic his room was 39 my favourite number.

I went Into the small bathroom and took out my makeup. I had some makeup remover to get under my eyes and mascara tears.

It only took about 10 minutes to finish my hair and makeup. When I walked out Luke was dressed in new clothes he looked nice.

We left the little apartment and into his car. "Thanks by the way" I said fast. " it's my treat" Luke laughed. We got to the Denny and I got a grilled cheese like did too.

After we both got milkshakes arguing about if chocolate or vanilla is better and after that we both just started laughing.

The bill came and I have him $20 that I stole from some kid at school. "Alice, no I'm paying" Luke straightly said.

"But"

"No buts! I'm paying" he smiled.

We walked through the front doors laughing about stupid things. When we both got into the car he flicked on the radio.

Blink 182 came on and we both said at the exact same time "yes I love this song". I looked out the window the car wasn't moving then I looked to Luke to tell him to drive when he can in and kissed me.

It all happened so fast but the kiss went on and on. I felt worthy I felt for once someone cared about me.========================
