*Georgia's POV*
I woke up on the couch to the sight of an empty bottle. I sat up and instantly regreted it, my head was pounding. "Shit." I put my head in my hands. "Mornin" The door swung open and banged against the wall making a loud noise. "Shh Daryl." He laughed and threw some squirrels in the middle of the room. "Someone can't handle their drink." He smirked and sat next to me. "Yeah well I needed it. Haven't had a night like that in a while." He stabbed a squirrel and ripped it open, them licked his fingers. "Oh god, you're gross." He grunted.
"So what time are we setting off?" He carried on dissembling the squirrel. "Well we need to find a vehicle er some gas. We don't ave to go till late, I don't mind stayin ere for a bit." I raised my eyebrows at him. I wasn't expecting that. "Oh, I thought you'd want to set off straight away." He stopped what he was doing and look over at me. "S'not like we're missin anythin, we could gather up more supplies." I nodded and walked towards the door.
"Where ya goin?" I carried on walking. "To get some real food. I'm not eating raw squirrel." I grabbed a bottle of water and an old protein bar. "Suit yerself, yer missin out." Daryl seemed a lot more talkative today. It was nice. "Hmm Are you sure Mr Dixon?" I walked back in the room and sat facing him with my legs crossed. "Hell yeah, it'll fill ye up more than that piece er shit will." He pointed to the bar in my mouth. "Yeah well I'll have to deal with it then."
"What do you thinks going on at the prison?" He shrugged his shoulders. "Dunno, we'll see when we get back." "But what if they're gone?" I was worried about that. I didn't know them that well but I'd feel so guilty for taking him from his family. "They'll be there." Sounding quite confident. "But how do you know?" He put his knife down and looked at me. "I just do girl." He raised his voice.
I thought I'd leave him alone for a bit after that. I changed into some clean clothes and decided to look around the neighbourhood and look for some baby formula for Judith or something useful. I grabbed my knife and went to see Daryl. "Daryl, I'm gonna look around the houses, see if there is anything we can take before we leave." He was in the kitchen, stuffing things into his bag. "Ok, stay safe, be back in an hour, don't be late."
I walked down the empty streets swinging a bag around in my hand. These houses were really nice, the kind you'd imagine yourself in when you grow up. Remember when you were a kid and you had a doll house with beautiful furniture, like that but real. I get why we live in the prison, we have the fences. But I think people would prefer to live in houses like these. We could have our own houses like we used to.
It was a small community, only 5 houses but I'm sure I'd find something. I checked one yesterday and me and Daryl are staying in one so I'd only have to check three so I'd have enough time with an hour.
I heard something move behind me. I grabbes my knife and turned around expecting a walker. "Wow I know ye hate me but there is no need to kill me." He raised his hands in the air. "Daryl, I don't hate you. Why do you think that?" He shrugged his shoulders and looked down at the ground avoiding my gaze. "Daryl, I really don't hate you." I moved closer to him and rested my hand on his muscular arm. He tensed up and looked at me. "Why would I hate you?" He chewed on his lip, something I've seen him do a lot. "Dunno, most people jus' do." I let my hand slide down his arms and into his hand. I instantly felt a spark, making me smile. "Well I'm not most people." He didn't hold my hand back which disappointed me. I know he's not very touchy. I squeezed his hand and let go, missing the warmth it gave me. "C'mon, lets go back."

After deciding not to check the houses we found an old truck with a small amout of gas left. I got in the passenger side and I know Daryl likes to drive and I probably would get us lost.
It was silent for a while so I decided to break the ice. "Are you ok?" He nodded his head. "Do ye miss yer family?" I was shocked at his question. "Erm yeah I do but I'm happy that they don't have to see what the world is like now. Do you miss yours?" Finally, I was going to break into the head of his. He nodded his head again. "As much as Merle was a pain in the ass, I do miss im." It's obvious that he isn't much of a talker but if I want to know more I've got to push it out of him. "What about your parents?" His grip tightened on the wheel as he remember back. "Mum died when I wer younger in a house fire, as fer my dad, he died jus' before this happened." I played with my knife. "Oh I'm sorry about that." He shrugged his shoulders. "Ye don't nee' to be, wasn't yer fault, wasn't anyone's fault. Shit jus' happens."
I decided to leave the conversation there. I feel as if I'm getting to know him a lot better now. Yeah he was an ass sometimes but he can also be very sweet. I'm just worried about when we get back to the prison he won't talk to me anymore. The tough guy will come back and we'll stop talking. "What ye thinkin 'bout." He looked over at me into my eyes. "You." He bit his lip and nodded his head for me to explain. "I just really enjoyed your company, even if you didn't enjoy mine. A-and I don't want you to stop talking to me when we get back to the prison. You're the only person I got now." He took a minute to take in what I had said to him.
"Ye are apart of our family now. Ye don't need to feel like the odd one out."
We got back to the prison which looked unharmed. Carl unlocked the gate for us and we drove up through the field and ditched the car. Carol ran up to Daryl and threw her arms around him. I couldn't help but feel jealous. "Shit, are you guys ok?" Maggie and Beth came running up to us and hugged me. They hit me with a lot of force making my stomach hurt. "Ye, lil missy ere had an accident." I lifted my top to show them my wound. "I'll go get my dad to take a look at it." I smiled back at Daryl as Beth took my hand and lead me inside.
"How is Rick?" Maggie sat next to me while her dad tended to my wound. "He's not doing so well. But he's better than he has been. But how are you? What happened out there?"
"There were too many walkers around for us to handle so I made Daryl escape and I distracted them. Then he came back for me and he's looked after me ever since." I blushed as Daryl came in the door. "How's she doin doc?" He leaned against the wall. "She's gonna be just fine, just make sure you don't do anything to strain it over the next few days."
"Georgia, what exactly happened between you and Daryl?" It was just me and Maggie now. They were having a meeting and we watched from the stairs. "Nothing, why?" I played with the bottom of my shirt. "Are you sure? You're both acting a little strange." I looked over at Daryl who was deep in thought. "We got into a bit of trouble but we're ok." I just wanted to hug Daryl and for him to tell me everything is ok. Because if he says it thencI can finally believe it.
"What kind of trouble?" It felt like I was trapped. All these questions, making me go down to the bottom of my brain to bring back the pain. I just wanted to forget it and Daryl knew that. He didn't mention it to me or the group. "Look I don't want to talk about it, ok?" She finally took the hint and stopped talking about it.
"He was so different out there. A good different, and I don't want to lose him." I rested my head on Maggie's shoulder. Daryl looked up at us and stopped what he was doing. "You won't lose him. I'll give you two some space." Maggie got up and patted Daryl on the back.
"Ye ok?" Daryl sat next to me but gave me some space. "Yeah, just thinking." He was about to get up and leave but I grabbed his hand again feeling a warm spark. "W-wait. Can we go for a walk?" He nodded and I let go of his hand and we walked out of the prison. I sat down on the grass and he followed next to me. "T-thankyou." I looked over at him, into those beautiful blue eyes. "Fer what?" He pulled the grass out of the ground. "For saving me the other day, from those men-" Daryl cut me off. "They weren't men, men don't hurt girls." I stopped his hands messing with the grass and held them in mine. Daryl didn't take his eyes off our hands. "I just keep picturing what would have happened if you weren't there. You don't realise how much this camp needs you, or how much I need you." He looked up into my eyes. I let go of one of his hands so I could brush some hair from his face.
"I want to help you find Merle. It's the least I can do. I know how much pain you're in, you don't show it but I can see it." He bit his lip and nodded. "O'kay"
