Daryl's POV

After Georgia fell asleep on me I didn't know what to do. So I just put my arm around her shoulder. That's what people do, right? People don't recover from things like this straight away. But in this kind of world they need to. We don't get time to think about things. We just get on with things, the way they have to happen.

It was morning now and I stayed next to her all night. I didn't want to wake her up so I just stayed still. I think she'd feel better knowing I was here. You know, kinda like protecting her. I'm not going to do this all the time though, just a little till she gets back to normal. And that needs to be soon. I can't be risking my life for some dumb girl. I gotta get back to my group and help them. Like Rick said, we're a family now. I guess Georgia was slowly beginning to be apart of our little family.

But still I needed to hunt, get away for a while. I can't stick around till she wakes up.

I slowly moved my arm away from her and stood up. I put a pillow under her head and put the small blanket on her. She looked so peaceful and calm. Almost innocent. But know one is innocent these days, we've all done things to survive.

I got up to go but she started to move around. "D-daryl, where are you going?" Shit, she's gonna want me to stay now. "Jus' huntin. I'll be back later." She looked down at her hands. I felt sorry for her. Wait. No. Don't give in. Get out. "Oh-ok." She sniffled and sat up. The blanket fell and my jacket was hung on her shoulders revealing her chest. I blushed and looked away. "Erm." I nudged my shoulder towards her chest. "Shit. Sorry." She covered herself up with the blanket. She took off my jacket and handed it out to me. "I bet you'll be wanting this back." I shool my head, still not looking at her. "Nah, you keep it till I get ye some more clothes." She simply nodded her head and sunk into the couch. "C-can I come with you?" The hell she can't! "No." She needs to stay here. But maybe it'll be better if she does so I know she's safe.

'Now baby bruder don't be goin all soft for sum fine piece of ass' I heard my brother say in the back of my mind. "Why not?" I turned to look at her, confused to as why she wanted to come. "Because, just look at ye, yer in no fit state to be comin out huntin wi me. Not after what 'appened las' night." I said a little loud. I could tell what I said hurt her. She looked like she wss going to cry. But she held it in. "Fine." And I left.

"Damn it Dixon, get er our of yer head." I yelled at myself once I was away from the house. If she was well enough to go out hunting then she'll be well enough to go back to the prison. If I spend another night with her I think I'll go insane. I turned around and headed back.

Once I got inside Georgia was no where to be seen. "Georgia" She was gonna be the death of me. I looked all around the house but she wasn't there. What if some one took her. What if they're gonna hurt her. "Hey, girl." What if a walker got her. Shit, I need to find her.

I ran outside with my crossbow up, just incase I ran into any danger. I went in the house across the street. The door was shut but not locked. I opened the door and called out her name a few times. Nothing. I went back outside and saw the door from the house we were staying in close. That must be here.

I ran across, my breathing a little shaky. I opened the door and held my crossbow up at her. "Why the hell are you back?" She limped up to me. "Why'd you run off?" I threw a question back at her. "I went to get a new shirt. You like it?" She playfully pinched my arm. I grunted and went to get my bike. "So why did you come back?" She came after me, clutching her side where I had to stitch it up again. "Jus' thought if yer better to hunt them ye'd be better to go back to the prison." I threw my bag and crossbow on the back. "Oh ok, I'll go get my stuff." She went back inside and came out with two bags. One full of food and the other with her personal belongings.
