Chapter 6

Nikki POV
(Me!- Background: Indian, moving from Maryland to Florida, 7 siblings)

"Are we there yet?" Aashika called. She and my other younger sister were in the 3rd row of the RV. They were finding ways to irritate the rest of 10 people in the car, including the driver. Avni began to crinkle the wrapper of the cheese quesadilla that she was eating. I clenched my teeth, done with them.

I returned to the DVD player. Me and Naomi got the DVD player for ourselves in Row 5 and we watched Modern Family season 4. We were cracking up at Phil's osophy, while eating our food from Taco Bell. I shudder at the memory of ordering. Ordering vegetarian fast food for 9 isn't easy (Dada and Dadi don't eat Taco Bell, we packed dosas for them).

Meanwhile, Dadi was listening to Swami Chinmayananda's (Hindu Teacher) disclosures on their iPad and Dada was talking on the phone with his brother his while eating his Dosas.

Mama and Papa behind were working. Papa is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and Mama is an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist). Papa was needed in Orlando, to supervise a project- and since Mama was able to relocate, we decided on moving.

Our new house is huge, but what excites me most is the fact that Naomi (My Identical Triplet), Ajay( AJ- My fraternal triplet), Karan( My older brother- in 10th grade) and Kavya( My older sister- she is in 11th grade) got accepted into Disney Academy, one of the most prestigious schools in the country. This school had a huge campus, with a full Winter Olympic Arena, Science Labs, Sports fields for 30 different sports, hundreds of extra curriculars and more!

Kavya, next to me on the other side, was on her laptop surfing the Disney academy page looking at clubs and electives in the sign up portal. I glanced on her screen- she signed herself up for Soccer, Choir, TV Production and Computer Proggraming as an elective. I watch Kavya wince as my brothers Karan and Pranav begin to dubsmash.

Karan and Pranav had a slight obsession with dubsmash. Right now, they were dubsmashing Muffin Time.

I sighed, in midst of the chaotic car, missing Maryland. Our cousins, the garba parties... It was home. But, I was looking forward to a new start in Florida.
