Hello people of Wattpad!! I apologize for my temporary disappearance, school has been rough as of late. Lots of tests, lots of projects, and homework. I'm learning to drive as well every day after school until six ahah which is stressful. Today, though, was the PSAT (shoutout to any of you who are fellow juniors), so I didn't have much homework, and I was writing one of my non-FF stories (which is another reason I haven't been writing fanfic very much, other stories), and I was like, I'm gonna write some Stally.
That being said, the last reason I took a little break is that writing awkward chapters is easy for me because I always write them when I feel awkward writing, but usually if I feel awkward writing, it means my writing juices aren't flowing correctly. So this chapter is fairly short, because I was getting my writing juices to flow again, and NOW THEY ARE! Woo! I've got a road trip this weekend, so watch for probably more updates! :)
Anyway!! Enjoy, vote, follow, comment! xx Follow me on Twitter at BrittzandTana :)
Ally had been laying in her bed for literally forty minutes, staring at her phone, and debating whether or not to text Stevie. It was nearing midnight, but she had a feeling that Stevie would still be awake. The question was whether she should text her now, or the following morning. Was there such thing as texting too soon?
What the fuck, Ally? Just text her.
Easier said than done, brain.
Ally finally decided that she was going to text Stevie now, but then she found herself at another loss– what was she going to say? She didn't want to seem too awkward, because she knew that, like herself, Stevie must've been feeling incredibly awkward. If she just say hey or something, she knew it would sound incredibly awkward. But what else could she say?
After nearly another ten minutes of contemplating, she held her breath and typed out the worst text message she had ever come up with.
To Stevie – Yo girl, what you up to?
Are you fucking for real, Ally?
Ally's fingers tapped on the inactive screen of her phone, waiting and waiting for Stevie's response. If she didn't respond within ten minutes, Ally would assume that Stevie was asleep, because she didn't think that Stevie would just flat out ignore her. After all, Stevie had asked Ally to text her.
Suddenly, her black phone screen lit up to reveal a new text message. Her heart pounding unnecessarily, she opened the text message.
From Stevie – Did you really just say that? XD
Ally felt her lip quirk up into a small smile, and, feeling relieved, she began to type out another text.
To Stevie – Duh, I'm that cool.
Ally hadn't really ever taken Stevie for an awkward dork like Ally was, but she was still somehow surprised at how chill Stevie was. She had even hugged Ally before she left, while Ally was just stumbling around like an idiot. It was nice, though, to know that the person she was talking to was acting so calm, even if she may not have actually been.
From Stevie – Yeah... SO cool... ;)
On the other side of the conversation, laying in her bed as well,Stevie was smiling at her phone. She had been waiting, though not with all of her attention, to see when Ally would text her. Ally struck her as a person who would worry over when to do things, so Stevie felt quite impressed with the other girl's perfect timing. Not to mention, the text she'd sent was absolutely ridiculous, and Stevie thought that Ally was pretty fucking adorable because of it.
From Ally – Excuse me, do I sense a tone of MOCKERY? D:
To Ally – I don't know, do you? ;3
Stevie didn't take long to think of responses, but she really wanted to ask Ally a question before she eventually said she was going to sleep, so she ignored the little texting bubble from Ally and began to type again.
To Ally – Are you busy tomorrow?
Ally was pretty sure that receiving that text got her the closest she'd ever come to having a heart attack.
To Stevie – Only if I have plans with you.
Or maybe sending that one did.
Meanwhile, Stevie was blushing red. She had not expected Ally to beat all smooth, not that she thought Ally was always awkward, but it was just a sudden, drastic change. Of course, Stevie had no opposition to the shift.
To Ally – If you want them, they're yours. Xx
From Ally – Give me a where and when, and I'll be there!
Stevie never really blushed from reading text messages, but Ally was apparently really fucking good at getting her to.
From Stevie – I'm still new, so you pick the where, I'll pick the when, and then you can pick me up. ;)
Ally smiled softly at her phone and let out a light exhale. There was no longer any doubt in Ally's mind that Stevie liked her, and she was sure that the feeling was mutual. All that was left was to take a step out of her awkwardness in the actual real life world, and then she'd be good to go.
She suddenly couldn't wait until the next morning.
