Chapter 2

Zeref P.O.V

After for walking for 10 minutes I see our little cottage. It was a simple 3 bedroom room on the second floor, and the bottom floor consisted the lounge room and the kitchen.
I smiled softly and opened the front door.

"I'm Home."
I shouted while taking my shoes off. I heard little footsteps running down the stairs.

"Welcome Home nii-san"
I turned around to see my little brother on the last step with a huge smile on his face.
I walked up to him and ruffled his hair causing him to pout.

"Nii-san, stop I need to tell you something."
I looked at him in confusion.

"Well... what is it?"
I asked. He stands there thinking.

Oh wait it's a secret. Only mummy knows."
I put my hands up in the air

"Okay, okay. Where's mum?"
Natsu's smile dropped

Mummy's in her room again. She looks so pale. Zeref-nii what's wrong with mummy?"
I put my hand down on his head.

"I don't know Natsu. But mummy's gonna be okay."
He nods.

"Now go upstairs and finish your homework."

"aww nii-san I want to play more"
I sighed loudly

"If you finish your homework I'll play with you."
Instantly he runs upstairs and rushes to his room with a promising 'bang' of his door.
I laugh quietly and walked to the kitchen, I then grabbed a glass and filled it with water. I then grabbed a couple of purple tablets in my other hand and walked to mums room to give her medicine.

I knocked on her door and heard a quiet and horsey
"Come in"

I opened the door slowly to reveal our slowly dying mother.
