As they walked back to the castle, Elsa tried her best to not flinch at what she was seeing. Dozens of men and women, from Berk and also most of her soldiers were either limping or lying down on beds. Her eyes traveled from injured humans to injured dragons, who were wimpering in pain. She spotted her horned blizzard and hugged it. She gasped as she saw a deep gash on its tail as one of her maids was tending to its wounds. She looked up at hiccup, who was staring down as they walked. She wondered what was going on in his head. He had just found out that he had a twin sister and now he had to fight her as well. Elsa squeezed his hand as he kissed her forehead. As they entered the palace hall, Kai and gerda, Elsa's loyal castle servants, came rushing up to them "Your majesty, are you alright? You both really had us worried over here. " Kai said as he glanced at hiccup. She nodded for them to leave him alone for sometime. He moved along towards his gang from Berk. "Elsa!" Anna came rushing and hugged her tightly." You really had everyone worried! Where's Hiccup?" The joyful princess asked curiously. Elsa nodded towards the vikings. " what happened? " Anna asked as she noted the troubled look on hiccup's face. Elsa sat down next to Anna , kristoff and Olaf. Sven was out , trying his best to help the injured dragons and people. Elsa sighed " He... you should've seen hiccup , Anna... his sister was running at him with her axe raised, every intention of killing him and he didn't know what to do... the leader,Ra'as knows hiccup's weakness now. And Helga. She looked right at him and attacked him. I don't know how it feels to have a sibling that... attacks you...." Elsa looked at anna with misty eyes. Anna hugged her sister tightly. "C'mon. Let's go talk to them. " Anna said as she helped elsa up. Hiccup was sitting on the floor beside his mother. Valka was almost on the verge of tears. "What happened?" Elsa muttered as she put an arm around her mother - in-law. " She... Helga didn't even recognise me..... she woke up after all of you left . I sent out cloudjumper to help but I chose to stay with her. She recoiled when I tried to explain the situation to her . She started yelling at me when I tried telling her that I was her mother. She struggled and broke free from her cuffs. She then slapped me across the face and broke her dragon out from its ice. She glared at me before she rode out. ". Elsa couldn't help but feel the pain that Valka was feeling. "She had anger written all over her face ... I don't know why she didn't kill me right then and there. " . Anna gasped excitedly. "That...that means there's still some chance! She refrained from hurting you !" . Kristoff whispered " yeah , but she did slap her own mother across the face..". Anna glared at her husband "you're not helping , kristoff. .." . Elsa glanced at hiccup. He hadn't talked to her once after they returned. He kept staring down blankly. Elsa gazed around the palace to see injured beings everywhere. Fishlegs was groaning with a bandaged forehead, snotlout was whimpering silently as gobber splashed a serum on his wounds. Tuffnut and ruffnut were laughing stupidly at each other's bandages.Elsa couldn't bear it anymore. All these people were suffering because of her. She had to end this. She hugged Valka one more time .She got up and then hugged Anna and kristoff tightly. They looked at her , slightly bewildered as to what she was upto. She then walked over to hiccup. He raised his eyes at her. " Would you kindly walk with me?" . He sighed and got up. She grasped his palm tightly as they walked out of the hall into into the moonlit gardens. The sun hadn't come up yet. They walked over to the balcony extending out over the ravens cove. She sighed " It's beautiful isn't it?" He merely nodded. She turned to him and spoke with purpose. " Hiccup... If we... If they win...I just want you to know... your the best husband any girl could've asked for and your twin is not your fault. I am hapy that i got to be your wife.I love you, viking. " and she kissed him hard. Slightly taken aback by this sudden act, hiccup paused for a moment before he started kissing her back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close. She wanted to remember this forever. She loved him. She loved them all. That is why I'm doing this, she though silently. After what seemed like an eternity, she broke off from him and hugged him tightly. Hiccup, oblivious as to what her intentions are, proceed to walk back to the hall. She stayed put. Turning around, he asked "coming?" . She nodded. "Just a minute.. I'm just staying her in the breeze for some time. " . He smiled at her and walked off back into the castle. She struggled to hold back her tears as she watched him until he was out of view. She wiped her face and then looked out over the sea. She knew what she must do. She proceeded to the tower guards and asked them if they had spotted where Ra'as camp was. They confirmed her doubts by pointing to the misty island that hiccup and anna were attacked in a few days ago. She held her breath and walked over to her horned blizzard. She patted it's head as it cooed " you have enough steam for one more trip , girl?" . She walked the dragon out of sight from everyone else and clambered onto it's back. They shot up into the sky and flew over towards the Hondra island. She only realised that she was still crying as the cold wind stung her wet eyes.

A few minutes later, the dragon landed on the island. Elsa slid off its back and walked towards the entrance without looking back at the dragon. It cooed at her. She mustered up all her will power as she shot ice fractals at it, to scare it off. The confused dragon waited a few more shots before getting the message and it flew off back to Arendelle. " Goodbye... " .She realised her feelings had caused the weather on the island to start snowing. Elsa cried silently as she whispered into the air. She then turned and walked towards the entrance of the cave.
