The wind was whipping at his face as Hiccup, Elsa , Merida and kristoff hurried back to the castle. Elsa was hugging hiccup tightly as he heard her sniffing silently from behind him. "It's okay Els. You didn't know that this was going to happen. " he tried to console her. She shook her head. "No. Hiccup...I failed. I blindly trusted him and now everyone has to pay the price again...because of me.... I never learned from my mistakes." . "I can see the castle doors!" Kristoff yelled .They were flying low to the ground , under the trees so that they were close to Kristoff , who was riding on Sven, and were out of sight from the tower guards. "Follow me around the back." Merida said as she swerved Angus rightward. They followed her and rounded the back end of the castle. They landed next to a brick wall and Elsa and Kristoff looked around, Perplexed. "Wait. Why are we here? " Olaf muttered to toothless as the dragon cooed as if to say 'beats me'. "What're yo--" Elsa began but she stopped talking as merida, who had been feeling around the castle wall, stepped back and pushed a particular brick inward . As she did so, the wall slid open, revealing a torch lit passage way.

"Did you know about this?" Hiccup and kristoff asked Elsa as they crept along the passageway. She shook her head as she looked around, amazed. Of course she didn't know, hiccup thought to himself. She had shut herself in her room all her childhood. She had never explored the castle. "And. There's a surprise waiting for you at the end of the tunnel. We've all been hiding here after that fat lark took control of the castle. He's told them that you kidnapped Anna. " Merida whispered , gkancing at hiccup ,as she led the way.
As they neared a cramped doorway, Merida kicked it open . Hiccup couldn't see what was on the other side because Merida was blocking his vision. He heard someone groan" Uh. ..you didn't find any supplies again, did you?" . Merida chortled as she said "No..but I found something even better ." And she stepped aside. The light in the room blinded hiccup as he squinted his eyes. He heard cheering and sighs of relief as he felt many people hug him. Finally regaining himself, he saw his mother hugging him tightly. Snotlout stood there, his mouth open slightly , as ruffnut, tuffnut and gobber cheered. Kai was also present there, clapping with a relieved smile on her face. Behind him, he heard Elsa and kristoff yell excitedly "Anna!!" . His eyes widened as he spun around to see the starberry blonde princess tightly hugging her sister and her husband. "Oh Anna. I'm glad your safe now..." Elsa smiled lovingly at her sister. Anna shifted her gaze at hiccup. He scratched his neck as he stammered. "Hey...I uh..I'm sorry for letting you get into danger. ..I'm should've tried harder to protect you .i--" he stopped midway as Anna ran and hugged him tightly. " I'm glad your safe... " she said as she let go of him. "You don't know much trouble I would've had to get her up and running if something were to happen to you." She nodded at Elsa. Everyone laughed in happiness. "Wait. ..so how did you escape them, again?"Hiccup asked curiously. She nodded at merida. Hiccup turned to her as she began to explain. "It was a day after you three left and the castke had been compromised .I had gone out at night to scourge for some supplies. I came across a tightly locked room. I couldn't open it. So I got Angus here, to light the lock at low heat. Inside it, i found her locked up . Turns out they had her here in the castle all along and they just tried to lure all of you out. ".Hiccup clenched his teeth in anger .Hiccup turned to Valka as anna leapt at Kristoff and started kissing him. Elsa decided to leave those two at it as she joined hiccup. " how're you holding up mom?" Hiccup asked as he hugged his mother. " Aw. Come on hiccup. I lived alongside dragons in a freezing cave for twenty years . I'm pretty sure I can survive in a 'secret castle chamber' for a couple of days." She chuckled. Hiccup's expression went stern. "So...How do we get Ogden out. He's probably with guards all the time. We need him to get information about some clan that we heard about.Ogden works for them...uh... horondas clan..or somethin." Valka's eyes widened as she grabbed hiccup by his shoulders and shook him "the Hondra clan?" She whispered. "Uh.yeah..wait...you know them?". She looked at Elsa, worry clearly written on her face. " long ago, during the dragon raids, a feared clan used to travel the kingdom's, wiping off whole settlements on the basis of ' cleansing the evil'. They had gone into hibernation for the past twenty five years. If they are coming here....Odin help us all.". There was a piercing silence that followed the revelation. Merida then broke it " I'll go out and get the weasel to the top floor. We can get him to talk up there. He can't be heard by any if his guards up there due to the strong winds. Just get yourself there ." she added, as she sprinted out of the chamber. Hiccup had noticed that her face had blood marks over it. Probably from one of her supply raids.
