Jay POV
I wasn't to happy to be moving away from my old house. To different state, different school, different everything. And the only thing that stayed the same were my abusive parents and little sister who lives like a queen. In Chicago, I had friends who I could trust with things I couldn't tell my parents, but I have no one now.
I was a nerd, a nerd without glasses that is. I loved school, loved to learn and wasn't interested at all in smoking, drugs, girls, cars, or anything other normal teenage boys were interested in.
The cool thing was, and you can't tell this from looking at me, but I am...... a kind of spy person. I could hack things, I was very good at fighting, I can use any sort of gun or knife invented, I knew nine languages aside form English,( Spanish, Hindi, Greek, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, German, Russian), and I had a a wide variety of security devices, that could be installed anywhere for me to see, if I suspect something. Awesome huh!
My parents never cared about me, so they weren't responsible for anything I knew. I guess I sort of taught myself.
Tomorrow was registration for Notting Dale High, and I already knew the classes I wanted. English, Algebra, Chemistry, and World History. I had a took take a language class, but i knew all the languages the school offered, so I took Spanish, which was the easiest for me. One extra hundred doesn't do any harm does it?
I'll explain a little bit more of my life. I said that my sister lives like a queen. For starters my room has a twin bed, a small desk and a bookshelf with no books, but the 14 trophies and 32 medals I've won. In my closet are a few shirts, some jeans, and one suit. My sisters room is about twice mine, with a queen bed, a huge desk and painted walls, at least ten Justin Beiber posters, and her closet contains is pretty much all of the Justice store, with every type of clothes imaginable. There are two houses for sale in my neighborhood, and there are no kids my age. Maybe those houses will have someone I can talk to. I can only hope.
" Jay, you little cockroach, get down here now!" my mother calls from downstairs. I tense and walk slowly, hoping I didn't do something bad.
"I went shopping for your sisters clothes and you didn't even get any dinner ready!" She yells at me. My chores in the house were to cook, clean, take care of the dog, and still have all A's. My sister was" too young" to do chores, even though she was 13. And my parents were too busy trying to support my " useless self". So everything was up to me.
I quickly made some soup and served it to everyone. Then I took my own bowl and sat in the kitchen and ate. I never stay with my family at the table. I eat, and then clean everyone's plate and head upstairs, my parents and sister start playing some movie.
I climb into my bed, even though it was only 8:30 and sigh. I can't wait until I'm old enough to leave. I can go to college, find someone who I truly love and truly loves me, and have family. But until then, I am stuck here in this hellhole.
These running through my head, I fall asleep.
