When I got home, no one was home so I went into the kitchen, dropped my car keys on the counter, opened the fridge and got out an shiny, dark red apple from the bottom drawer where all the fruit were located.

Then I walked into the living room, lit the fireplace and flopped onto the comfy couch after turning on the T.V. that was above the fireplace. Noticing that I was still cold, I grabbed the navy blue blanket next to me and wrapped myself with it. After that, I took a huge bite out of the apple making a loud 'CRUNCH.' After I finished the apple, I then instantly fell asleep, still holding the apple core in my hand.

An hour later, my sister, Piper, woke me up by flopping herself on the spot next to me on the couch. I noticed the apple core was on the floor next to the couch.

"So, how was your day?" she asked after she let out a worn out sigh.

Well. I was told by the principal to make a moody bad boy into a goody goody full of sunshine and rainbows but he doesn't want to cooperate with me, leading me to be in a very unhappy mood. Also, I got really tried in the process of it all very suddenly. So...

"It was good," I lied but apparently not convincingly since Piper looked at me with her hazel eyes full of worry.

"It's nothing. Don't worry about it," I assured her. She nodded but still didn't seem convinced. "How was YOUR day?" I asked her, sitting up from my laying down position, sending her a big smile.

"It was great," she began, the worry in her eyes gone. Now replaced with a gleam of happiness. "My classes were interesting and cool, and soon I will be done with college!"

"You're going to be a great doctor like mom," I commented. I hoped to be a doctor like mom, too. Her speciality is working with the heart and Piper and I want to follow in her footsteps. However, I felt bad for my dad because neither of us (I had no other siblings) were wanting to follow his, which was engineering. He was the manger of a big company called Lenhc Inc.

"Hopefully I can be as good as mom is," she admitted laying her head against the back of the couch cushion.

"You will," I told her. She smiled and said thanks and went to her room which was across from mine.

Then, remembering that the apple core was still on the floor, I picked it up, still having the blanket around me, and threw it away in the trash can in the kitchen. After that, I crashed down, face first, back onto the couch and thought about my sucky day at school.

Mason is a piece of work. That is what I thought. Why is he so cold and why does he act that way? I just don't get it. What's his problem?

         'Urgh!' I let out, upset.

But why should I be upset? I will find a way to break his bad habits. Mark my words, by the end of this school year, he will be as good as gold.
