A few days have passed since Kira had last saw her brother Kai and contemplated what and how exactly was she supposed to push away her subconscious and brutally massacre the Hyugas. The concept and the reason were difficult to grasp, and Neji being around her worrying made it nearly impossible for Kira to even formulate a plan.

"Kimiko? You seem tense." Neji frowned, his arms crossed on his chest. He had noticed her gaze grew unfocused on the ground, watching nothing in particular. She had been doing that lately, and it made him uneasy. The two were currently watching Lee and Tenten buying tickets, for a reason Kimiko had let slip her mind. Something about a festival, something that didn't really matter to her at the moment. "I'm just tired." She mumbled, her hands hidden behind her back as she leaned against her left leg.

Neji said nothing, and his frown grew. Her excuses were growing repetitive, and he was much too used to Kimiko bouncing around, tugging at his arm eagerly to see her so secretive like this. Needless to say, the two have grown very close to one another. "Why don't you tell me?" He sighed, one that Kimiko took as frustration.

"You can't help me with this problem." She said, and took a slight step away from him. It was inconspicuous, yet the Hyuga saw her shifting uncomfortably. Whatever she was keeping from him, it nagged at him as well. Before Neji could push the subject once more, he was interrupted.

Lee and Tenten were laughing loudly as they eagerly walked to the spot where Neji and Kimiko stood. "Hey! I got a discount on the tickets! Sold the guy at the register some ornamental kunai knives~!" Tenten giggled, holding three tickets in her hand. But their lack of a response left her hanging, and she picked up on the problem. "Uhm...did I miss anything?"

"No. Nothing at all." Was Kimiko's brief response before grabbing the ticket that was handed to her. "What's this for?"

"Weren't you paying attention? It's for the Sakura festival next week!" Tenten frowned, giving her a weird look before darting her eyes back and forth between Neji and Kimiko. "Jeez. It's like you've been forgetting a lotta things lately. Something wrong?"

"That's what I said. She's not willing to say." Neji mumbled. "Never mind her behavior. We should be heading back to the training field; Gai sensei said that he would have a very interesting mission for us."

"It's nothing. You know, I'm actually feeling very light-headed. I think... I think I'll be heading back home. Tell Gai sensei I'll make up for it tomorrow. Another mission maybe?" Kimiko murmured, her brows furrowed and her fingers pressing against her temples. Stumbling ever so slightly, she hastily made her way into the loose crowd down the dirt paths of Konoha.

"Is Kimiko alright? Is she sick?" Lee grew curious as well. His usual upbeat behavior was replaced with one of growing concern. "What did she tell you Neji?"

"Nothing. She didn't tell me anything, and she usually tells me everything. For all I know, Shino and she were arguing again." All their questioning was pushing him over the edge, and he couldn't help but activate his Byakugan in his frustration. His jaw tensed up, his eyes focused in the part of the crowd Kimiko fled to. It was silly, Neji realized, to be pissed at her for such a thing she was too nervous to speak about. It was immature, childish. She would tell him when it felt right. He knew that. But the fact that Kimiko would keep something from him hurt, the dull ache everywhere as if he had ran for a months on end. It was enough to make him feel hopelessly lost...
