Robbie spent all of the next day reading newspapers, circling key information about the dispapeerances, jotting down notes of what had happened. He did this for 6 hours straight and found absolutely nothing! Every case was the same, The captor would leave nothing but a random item. A thought occured, Robbie pushed the papers around until he found the artical for the first dissaperance, the captor had left a ticket for the Insectozoo, Robbie headed there straight away!

He wandered to the ticket desk, it was upsetting coming back. He hadn't paid for a ticket there in years, employees were allowed in for free you see. Robbie reluctantly paid the two accorn fee to get in. He rushed about the zoo, trying to find something unusual. He had another thought, what if the captor were planting clues on purpose? Then he or she would surely leave it somewhere where it wouldnt blow away or get lost.

The first theory Robbie had was that it could be in an exhibit - a place everyone would see the clue. But then an animal could destroy it. Then it came to him, the bosses office! The safest place in the zoo. Robbie went there right away. He slowly pushed the door open and was pleased to see there was no one in there.

He looked around the room, everywhere he could. he found an envelope in the bosse's drawer, 'Number one' he thought for a second, clue number one! Robbie knew it could just be an envelope, but he thought it would be silly to just leave it. He picked it up and snuck out of the zoo.

Back at the homeless shelter, Robbie opened the envelope. a battery and a letter were inside. The letter said, "Congratulations Robbie!!! You found the first clue, I knew you would. Good luck finding the others, from annonymous" Robbie felt sick, what if the animalnapper (as the police had been calling him) had sent this letter?

A battery. Robbie had heard about batteries. There was something about them in the life of a giant exhibition in the insectozoo, apparently, the humans used them to power things- so why would the animalnapper have one?
