Lost

Love lies listlessly leaving life feeling empty,
Never needing nearness of others to feel complete.
Nowhere to turn, no one to run to anymore,
Completely alone and lost in a world of my own.

Its hard to tell how it came to this,
Choices made, mistakes of the past.
But gathering regrets is pointless,
Its just that that got me lost.

So to find my way, I must remember who I am,
Just like Hansel and Gretel, I'm in a new place.
With unseen enemies and no obvious way out,
Choices to be made, none of which will be easy.

Lost and wondering through this unknown world,
Nothing familiar around anymore.
None of the roads seem safe,
Both are twisted, both are straight.

There will be no easy choices for me,
Even the choice between life and death is complicated.
Lost in my own head, not knowing up from down,
