Chapter 3

The soft roar as the bus goes down the street, jolted me up. I pushed aside all of the boxes, that concealed me and got up.

Apparently while i was unpacking all of the dishes in the kitchen i had fallen asleep. Trust me, trying to fall asleep last night after having endless dreams ( excuse me, i mean nightmares) about the black figure in the basement. Infact i didnt even get into bed last night until Dylan had boarded up to basement door with 2" by 4" boards, and even then i locked the door with a large padlock and stuffed an old towel on the crack under the door.

I ran over to the window and peer out to see Tyler, stepping off the bus with another girl. It takes me a second to collect my thoughts. It was Tyler's first day of summer school, at a new school infact and he already met someone.

Good job Tyler!

It was then that they stopped at our mailbox that i got a full good look of the girl.

She was average height, with long black curly hair that went down to her belly button. She had pale, frail skin that looked as it would burn at the slightest sun light. Her eyes were emeraled green and seemed filled with glower, it was a deep sullen dislike in her eyes even though her mouth was formed in a smile as Tyler said goodbye.

It was very unlike Tyler being tall, blonde hair and baby blue eyes to attract a girl that seemed so goth and dark. But none the less, it was a friend and i was glad that he was at least a little bit happy.
