Canada's POV:

Britain paced back and forth across my bedroom floor, running his hand through his choppy blonde hair.
"Canada, there's something I need to say and I need you to stay calm and think about it for a moment." He said, stopping.
"Yeah, dad?"
"Alfred left." The Brit stated, his voice choking up.
"I thought so..." I nodded.
My father sat down at my side, looking into my eyes with a serious expression.
"He declared independence and wants to take you to live with him." He swallowed. "But I don't want that life for you. I want you to have the choice to be free."
I nodded my understanding. "So..."
"You need to become independent too. If you're a colony he can take you over, but as a country you can defend yourself."
I was speechless. Me? A country?
"I'll give you some time to think about it...just go with what you want Matthew."
He left me alone after that, just for a few hours. I remember crying for a while to get over the shock and then at some point I passed out.
When I woke up, I had made my choice.

Short chapter but it's a dream and you know how dreams can feel like a minute when they've actually been all night?
Hey, I have a secret. A Canadian government secret that has been eating me up inside for a while.
Hockey isn't actually Canada's national sport. We invented it. But it's not our sport.
Our sport is actually lacrosse.
I know right??!!
LACROSSE! *flips table*
