"Lucy? Are you there?" George said, knocking on my door.
"Y-yeah," I stuttered. I cringed. I never stutter.
"Can I come in?"
"Sure."
The doorknob turned quietly, and George walked in. He closed the door and sat on my bed.
"What happened?"
"Do y-you really n-need to a-ask?" I said, tears streaming down my face as I tried not to sob.
"No, but maybe if you told me you'd feel better." He replied.
"I d-don't think s-so."
"Alright. Well, I'll be back in a few minutes, maybe you can talk then?"
"Okay."
Less than ten minutes later, George returned with a box of doughnuts and some ice cream.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, passing me my favorite type of doughnut. They were all the same.
"Uh huh." I nodded.
And I told him. The entire story, from when I first met Lockwood, to how I felt when I was being hugged by him in Combe Carey.
"And I backed away b-before he could say he l-loved her."
George sat quietly, not knowing what to say. I grabbed another doughnut and crammed it into my mouth.
"Do you feel better now that you told someone?" He asked.
I nodded. I did feel better, after telling him everything.
"Well, I need to do some research, so I have to leave. But I'm going to leave the doughnuts and ice cream in here. Okay?"
"Okay."Helloooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! Did you guys like it? I hope so!!!! Comment "potassium" if you liked it. Byeeeeeeee!!!!
