After helping Sarah and Delaney unload the music we take turns getting dressed. I get to go first. I hop into the back of the car and grab my outfit. I slip off my clothes and pull on the costume.

After everyone is dressed, we all stand around and admire our work. I look at everyone's costume. They are pretty cool. Delaney is a cat, I am a nerd, Sarah is this ghost thing, Summer is a fairy, Riley is a vampire, Lacy is an angel, and Jasmine is a mummy. Riley's outfit definitely fits her personality.

The guests are starting to arrive and it is only nine thirty. The party starts at ten. At eleven the "ghosts" come out and eliminate their victims. Yay, a fancy way of saying kill. I don't believe it at all though. It is just a myth to keep teenagers out of the graveyard on Halloween. Everyone thinks that we are just going to trash the graveyard and leave it like that. That is probably why they made the myth about the ghosts.

"Hey Riley, come over here. I can't get the music to start!" I heard Lacy yell. I looked around and saw that Summer and Jasmine we're welcoming the guests while Sarah and Delaney were raiding the food tables. Then I saw that Riley had started the music so Lacy and Riley were making sure the decorations were up and hadn't fallen. I went over to join Jasmine and Summer. There was a lot of people I didn't know. All I know is that they don't go to our school. The invites must have stretched to other schools.

Suddenly I hear a quiet scream. Looking around I see no one and dismiss it as someone finding one of the hidden spooks we hid around the place.

It was getting later in the night and it seemed that people were slowly starting or disappear. I think I was the only one to notice until Summer comes up to me.

"Does it feel like people are disappearing to you?" She asks me looking around concerned. "Yeah, sorta..." I reply trailing off as another muffled scream sounded from over by the trees. This time it wasn't just any random scream, it was Jasmine's scream. I looked around panicked. She knows where all the scary surprises are so she wouldn't get scared by them. The only thing that would make her scream like that is. Oh no...

"Summer do you think the myths are true?" I ask almost yelling at her. "I...I think so." She mumbles with disbelief. "We have to get out of here." I yell noticing a faint outline of what seems to be a person with an axe coming towards us. They seem almost, translucent.

"SUMMER, RUN!" I yell as the figure comes closer but not soon enough. The ghost grabs her and slits her throat right in front of me. It then turns towards me and that is when I run.
