***IF YOU DON'T LIKE INTRODUCTORY/BACKGROUND STUFF SKIP TO CHAPTER 4 BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THEY START TO TALK. ILY FOR READINGI tried glancing over at him, but I caught something out of the corner of my eye. Before I had time to think about it the ball smacked me in the head and I stumbled back. If it wouldn't have been so loud in the gym I'm sure the "smack" would have been audible. I cracked a smile and then burst out laughing. Nobody was paying attention to me but I get hit so many times that I must find humor in it. Either that or I would cry. I sat cross-legged on the ground because now I was out of the game. Again.
I looked around but couldn't figure out who had thrown it. The clock said 12:56. Only four minutes of torture left until lunch. Everybody was so vicious. I thought dodgeball was supposed to be fun. We only played it twice a year though. Maybe they were just bloodthirsty by the time we got to play it again.
Christian was probably the craziest of all them. He jumped and yelled and threw too hard. He was a complete wacko. His dark blonde hair (which honestly needed a trim) was a complete disaster by the end. He insisted that he was 5"11' but I secretly believe he's a few inches shorter. He seems like the kind of kid to fudge it a little because he wants to be taller.
He noticed me watching him. He winked. Then he smirked. Not again. He always does this winking thing with me. But he never talks to me. I think we have exchanged ten words in total. I had to admit that he was adorable. A little too adorable. His face, and his smile, and his skin, and his eyes, and his hair. I think he has more to him than his looks though. He's got something special.
Christian had an impressive following on Vine and all his social media. And he deserves it because he's hilarious. I've heard him tell jokes to other people, and how does he even come up with that stuff? His facial expressions too. They are just so ridiculous you can't help but laugh.
Some of my friends are obsessed with him. In fact, a lot of the girls at school have an unhealthy attatchment to this boy who makes six second videos. They all act giggly when he comes around. Not that I blame them.
So, my friends heard he wrote and released an EP. They bought it. They listened to it. They obsessed over it. I didn't really pay any attention until I heard them listening to it one day.
In the shadows of love there's always heartbreak
In the shadows of love there's always heartbreak
Your heart is something precious, your soul is something priceless
Baby, you've got the nicest pair of eyes I've seen
in a long while
In the shadows of love there's always heartbreakThese lyrics were actually good. I mean, they are beautiful, almost poetic. The melody was pleasant and soft and I actually liked it. Of course, I couldn't tell them that. I don't even know him. But how could these lyrics have come from someone that always acted so crazy? Someone that had always seemed so goofy? He makes me wonder.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you guys like it. Yes, that is actually from a part of a song he wrote. My name is Claire, and this story is going to move slower than other fanfics (with pretty fast updates tho). I do have a plan so we'll see how it works out. And I plan on doing a chapter, sometimes two, everyother day. Ok. Have an awesome day! <3
