We were leaving today, so I completely changed my look. I dyed my hair black and let my nose ring close.
"I don't want you to go, Katie," Jeff says behind me.
I turn around, he is standing directly behind me. His man made smile didn't compliment his own. He grabbed my face and kissed my lips.
I wrapped my atms around him and kissed him back.
He released me and looked deeply into my eyes, "I can't... I can't let you leave, Katie."
"I... I can't abandon my parents, they're the only family I have left."
His eyes grew furious, "Screw them! We don't need them!"
"But I do, Jeff..." I sighed and put my head on his chest, "Jeff, they're my parents."
"Katie, you're freaking adopted."
I gasped and lifted my head up, feeling completely taken aback, "What?"
He held my face, "Those aren't your real parents. Your real parents, named Bill and Carley Claywell, died. Your mom died from a heart attack, and your dad was killed in service for the military."
I took a minute to process the information, then clenched my hands and jerked away from him, "You lier! You just want me to stay!"
He hung and shook his head, "Katie... when one of the other creepypastas gets killed, Slendy asks me to go to the hospital and retrieve their files for him. I becam curious about you and went to the hospital. I looked over your records, birth certificate...Katie, your adopted."
Before I can say anything, my mom barges into my room, "Who in the world were you talking to?"
I looked up, Jeff was gone, dissappeared out of thin air.
"M-mom... am-am I adopted," I could feel Jeff's gaze pushing into me from the closet.
She tensed up, "H-Katie... how did you..."
"I am, aren't I!"
She hugged me, "Y-yes," she sighed, "Your mom, Carley, she named you Andy, because they loved cartoons, so you were named after the little boy on Toy Story. But your father couldn't be there because he died in the service a month before you were born, but she felt the name was a perfect fit...
"Then, while she held you in her arms, she started having a a heart attack, and she died instantly."
"H...how do you know all this?" I asked, failing not to break intko tears.
"Because your mom was my best friend, and I was there in the room when it happened."
I sob into her police jacket, and she holds me tight. When enough sobs are out so I can talk, I push away from her.
"Katie-"
"My name is not Katie Douglass anymore, it's Andy Claywell."
