One day while she was using facebook, she decided to check one of her group chats which is a group chat of her old section in high school. There was nothing important there just random conversations but then she suddenly stopped scrolling when she read her name. It was one of her best friends, Jane, and King an old lover of hers (and still a lover but they never had a relationship) were talking about her. Then Jane told King that she (pertaining to Mitch) broke another guy's heart. King told Jane to message him personally to tell the story of Mitch and the guy she broke his heart. After reading the two's conversation she was hurt and mad. Before she had read Jane and King's conversation King messaged her and asked who her "M.U." is. She told him none and asked him why he asked and King told her that she's lying. She was offended by what King told her and asked him who told him about that but King didn't mention any name. Even though King didn't tell her who told him she already suspected someone and when she read Jane and King's conversation in the group chat she suspected the right person. She confronted King because she is now very upset and she messaged him saying "Jane told you didn't she?"which is more of a statement than a question. King admitted yes and even though she knew she was right the truth still hurt her. She can't believe that Jane told King about Jelric and she mentioned about her breaking his heart in the G.C. which made her look like a bad and bitchy person! She messaged Jane who was now offline,and told her that she was hurt and felt betrayed about what she did. That she was her bestfriend and trusted her yet she still broke her trust and told her not to bother calling her again and not to expect messages from her anymore.She also messaged King and nagged at him and she didn't fail to let King know that she was very upset. When she couldn't take it anymore she went offline and then instead of sleeping, she just thought everything through. "I'm not angry at Jane. I'm just hurt because she broke my trust. She's my best friend yet she didn't respect my privacy especially Jelric'sprivacy. I hate this feeling. Being betrayed is worse than death and trust, once broken can never be the same again" she thought to herself.

The past years or her high school years (since she's a freshmen in college now) had been rough for her. She's been hurt too much. Physically not much but mentally and emotionally she was very hurt and wounded. It gave her so many scars and wounds that are still bleeding and wasn't fully healed. The worst scars and wounds are found in her heart. The scars are still fresh and her wounds too deep. She felt so much pain that it made her numb. It isolated her from the world and made her a very complicated person. It made her build walls around her so high and strong that no one can overcome it, even her. She doesn't want to be alone yet wants to be alone. Because being alone has been her comfort zone and trusting and loving will only hurt her. She wanted to be loved and wants to love but she's been hurt too much that she's now too afraid to take a risk at falling in love and is keeping herself in a safe distance from everyone.

After two and almost a half month she had communicated with Jelric because she has known that he fell for her ex best friend Jane. When she asked Jelric if this was true he confirmed it. She wasn't sure if he's just using Jane as a rebound for her or that he had totally moved on from her since it had just been three months and she's not sure why she's kinda irritated by the thought of them being together. Maybe because of what Jane did before of telling King about Jelric's heartbreak. But if Jelricisn't or really isin love with Jane it's already none of her business. After all, she's the one who introduced Jane to Jelric in the first place and when she broke his heart she told Jane to comfort Jelric. And eventually she knew there's a possibility that those two might fall for each other since they're both broken hearted and will find comfort in each other. She's just not sure if they're both using each other as rebounds.Mitch still communicates with Jane since Jane was the one who told her that Jelric fell for her but it wasn't like before. The "best friend" feeling she has for her is gone.

When Mitch talked to her best friend Rhoda (who is also close friends with Jane) she told her about the complicated (which she finds very funny) "thing" about her, Jelric and Jane. "What a nice situation you are in Mitch. Before you broke his heart you introduced Jane and Jelric to each other. When you broke his heart you told Jane to comfort him and you knew that they might fall for each other. Well they're still not together. They're still in the courting stage" Rhoda told Mitch, "What I don't get is why Jane would let him court her when she knows that Jelric loves you? And just through text?" she added. "I don't know. Why not? He has moved on or so he says." Mitch replied with a shrug. "And why would Jelric court her? I mean, if he really loves you he couldn't have moved on that fast" says Rhoda. "I know. That's why I never let him or anyone else court me. They just think they're in love with me when in reality they're just infatuated" Mitch answered. "And he apologized to you for breaking his promise that he will wait for you until the time comes that you're ready for love and relationship?" asked Rhoda. "Yup, he did. I told him its fine. That I'm used to people breaking their promises. I never take promises like that seriously because they're just caught in the feeling and thought that they're in love with me" Mitch answered her then chuckled, "I remember when Frank told me to wait for him until I graduate and then he'll court me and the promise King told me that he will wait for me until I'm ready for relation-shits – I mean, relationships." This time both the two girls were laughing because of the silliness of Mitch's (not really) love life. "But didn't it ever cross Jelric's mind that what if you were just testing him?" questioned Rhoda. "I don't know. Yeah I was wondering the same thing but like I said. He's just caught in the feeling and thought that he's in love with me when he's just really infatuated. And of course he won't admit that he's just infatuated because he really think he was in love" Mitch replied. "What if they're just both using each other as rebounds since they're both broken hearted?" Rhoda asked again. "Maybe, maybe because they found comfort in each other, but I don't believe that people always fall for the one who comforts them. I mean yeah maybe sometimes they do but not always. They're just caught in the feeling and thought that they're in love because they have found someone who comforts them. But in reality they just found their comfort zone where they are safe, where they know there's a bigger chance that they won't get hurt because well – they're safe" Mitch explained her thoughts. "I find it very ironic how everything started because of a joke between you and Jelric and how everything also ended because of a joke" Rhoda stated. "Yeah me too" Mitch replied chuckling. "Everything will be fine Mitch" Rhoda assured her. "I know, it's just part of life and life is an adventure. And I want you in my adventure Rhoda. Come and take this adventure called life with me?" she asked her friend smilingly. "Of course I will. With pleasure" Rhoda answered her.
