Years had passed and Mitch is now graduated in college and is a 26 year-old woman who is happily teaching high school students. She already had bought her mom her own house and car, helping her siblings in their studies and is currently fulfilling her dreams and goals in life with Rhoda. She is also now a well-known author internationally.She still keeps in touch with Jane from time to time who is now an accountant in a very well-known bank. But she hasn't had much communication with Jelric after he and Jane broke up. Apparently it didn't work out between the two. They're break up left Jane crying for days and Mitch was the one who comforted her.

She and Rhoda traveled to Paris, France the place they had always wanted to visit. Mitch is waiting for Rhoda at a restaurant because she had to run an errand. She's just sitting there when someone called her. "Mitch? Is that really you?" a guy wearing a chef uniform asked her and walked towards her table. "Uhh? Yeah? Bonjour? Do I know you?" she asked the man who seemed familiar to her but can't remember who. The guy sat on the chair beside her and said "It is you! Hi, how are you? Jelric, remember?" "Oh! I'm fine. I'm so sorry I didn't recognize you" she said apologetically. The two chatted for hours since Rhoda hasn't arrived yet. She found out that Jelric is the head chef in the current restaurant she is in. They were both laughing when Jelric suddenly became serious,looked her in the eye and said "You know if you didn't break my heart back then I wouldn't realize things. And if I only waited for you and never broke my promise to you maybe, just maybe, there's a possibility that you and I, you know, could be together, right now." She just smiled at him and said "Yeah, maybe, I guess but there are just some things that aren't meant to be." "Did you ever regret breaking my heart?" he asked. This time she also looked at him in the eyes and said "No, not at all." He fell silent and looked away upon hearing those words. "Do you wanna know why?" she asked and he looked back at her "because if I didn't we won't be where we are right now. You'd be hurt for such a long time. I was poison to you and you'd slowly die in pain, not physically but emotionally. I don't want you to be like me. Not able to feel love at all. And besides, I knew we weren't meant for each other so if we continue we'd still end up hurting each other. And besides you won't find her if I didn't let you go." He got confused at her last statement when a woman walked to them saying "Babe!" He kissed the woman and introduced the two to each other then asked Mitch "How did you know?" "Well, the way her eyes shine when she saw you were full of love" she answered. He chuckled and said "You never changed. You're a lesson in my life and thanks for breaking my heart. If you didn't I wouldn't meet this lovely girl. You'll find the man you'll love, if not here in the city of love maybe somewhere else. We'll be going. Bye!" "Bye! Take care! Nice to meet you Mae!" she waved goodbye and whispered "If I wasn't too afraid to fall I will find him."
