Alice tugged at her sleeves as she sat down on the second seat from the bus. There wasn't that many kids on the bus. She sat down in the second seat from the door and put up her hoodie. She desperately wanted to make new friends but for now, she would just concentrate on staring out the window and making herself invisible.
Maria shifted uncomfortably as a girl sat down next to her. She hated other people. She hated physical contact. And she hated knowing someone was in her personal space. As she scooted over, the girl scooted even more closer, squishing her against the wall. Maria tried to ignore the girl as she plugged in her earbuds and looked out the window. She didn't like interacting with other, but she wished she could make a friend or two in this new school.
It was dark outside and there wasn't anything really interesting to look at. Alice sighed as she listened to one of her favorite songs in her head. She would be getting an IPod soon, but didn't know when. It was only six thirty in the morning, so she decided to take a nap.
It was dark outside, but everything was so alive. The bus stopped to pick up some kids at a gas station, but right across the street was a graveyard. Two grey dogs ran through the graveyard, chasing each other and playing around. If she squinted, she could make out small details, like that the fact that their eyes glowed red and their teeth were as sharp as daggers. A person stood in the middle of the street, staring blankly at the bus, not moving at all. When she turned to face him however, he vanished. She wondered what was real and what was not.
Two completely different people, one tragic fate.
