Chapter 8

(Irene POV)
My phone was buzzing under my pillow. It was from V.
-Today is 'geek' day. Express your inner geek!-
Well, I'm already a geek enough but ok. I looked in my closet and still found outfits that V bought for me. What luck too. Thank you V! I put on my clothes (outfit up there) and went downstairs to find my mom making breakfast. "Ooh it nerd day, isn't it? Gonna bust out some funky nerd moves, whip out my trusty calculator." I laughed and my mom started dancing with a calculator in her hand. "Ok first of all, it's 'geek' day. Second of all, I'm not going to do that." We laughed and she handed me a plate with scrambled eggs.

When I finished, I put my plate in the sink and put on my backpack. "Bye Omma." I gave her a hug and she kissed my head. "You need to take a shower!" I gentle pushed her off and she laughed. "Omma!" I was walking to the door. "Just kidding. Get home safely and have a good day!" I walked out the door and enjoyed the fresh breeze of the cloudy day. As I was walking, I saw Bangtan walking to school too. "Anneyeong!!!" I shouted and waved when they turned around and did the same.

"Ah! Inner geek!" They were all wearing glasses and cute nerdy clothes. "Yeah. C'mon let's get to school." When we got to school everyone was silent by the time we entered the halls. They were whispering, gossiping. "She's a geek already what is she doing? She looks funnier than she already is!" I could feel eyes staring at me. I rubbed my arm and looked down and V noticed.

He told the rest of the guys to make a circle around me. I felt his hand go to my wrist and he held it, assuring everything was going to be fine. The bell rang and echoed through the brightly lit halls and everyone shoved to their class. "PE we go. See ya hyungs." V said still not letting go of my wrist. "V? Why do I even bother going to school? I get bullied everyday so what's the point?" We stopped outside the room. "The point is, you're learning to be stronger everyday. You face your fears, still knowing that they're out there. Plus, I'm here to face them with you." I got on my tip toes and hugged him and he hugged me back.

(V POV)
"Ok let's go inside. We don't want to be late." She said while opening the door. I let go of her wrist and we walked in. The bell rang as we got to our seats. Our class is like a typical high school room, papers being thrown everywhere, and people on their phones. "OK CLASS SETTLE DOWN!" Coach Boomer called from the front of the gym. Everything was silent and still. "CLEARLY NONE OF US WERE INFORMED THAT TODAY IS A MINIMUM DAY SO ITS FREE PLAY TODAY! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND SOLDIERS!" Coach Boomer shouted and everyone just started running all over the place.

What do we do in the meantime? "Want to just roam the halls? Maybe read a geeky book in honor of Geek Day?" She asked walking over to me. "Umm yeah let's go to the library." We got up and walked out of the gym. We made our way to the library and we were trying to find books. "Hey, V." It was that annoying cheerleader, Bridget. "Umm hi." Her posse was following her. "So are you and her dating?" She said in a disgusted tone. "No, we are just friends. Why do you care?" Trust me, I tried very hard not to show disappointment. "Well, the fall dance is coming up soon and I was wondering---" The librarian shushed us and she continued talking.

"Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to go together. I mean it's not like 'Queen Geek' over there ever had a chance with you." They high-fived her and waited for an answer. I was 100% done with her. I pulled her outside so I could yell. "You know what?! I'm sick and tired of everyone bullying her just cause she's different or smarter. Who cares?! Honestly, you're the one who never had a chance with me and never will! Imagine going through the things she is going through! Isn't nice isn't it?! So stop making fun of her....or you make fun of me!" Claps were heard throughout the hall from kids who had gotten out of their classes before the bell rang. Then, I spotted Irene. "Ugh! Fine! Let's go ladies. Time to go to Jimin." Little did she know, he was dating Giselle.

"V?" I heard a shaky voice. "You d-id that f-for m-me?" The bell rang and she walked closer to me. "Thank you." Right after, we were on our way to math class. "Ok students. I'm sure you all know that today is a minimum day and your teacher is out sick," everyone was cheering, "but she left a lesson plan." They all moaned in frustration. "I don't really want to do this and neither do you, so we're just going to watch a movie." They cheered again. Irene turned around laughing. "This class is bipolar, I swear!" I laughed along and the sub put on a movie.

A note was passed onto me. Oh shoot. I forgot Bridget was in this class. 'Date me! Go to the dance with me! If not, there will be consequences. Consequences involving, the football team, cheerleading squad, A.V. nerds, and basically the entire school. Luv ya!' Wow she is insane. She looked over to me and mouthed the words, "yes or no?" I shook my head and mouthed, "not in forever." She got mad and whispered to her posse and the posse whispering into other people's ears. "Ok class is dismissed." The bell rang and we got out of class.

(Irene POV)
I was waiting for V outside the classroom and people kept giving me death glares. I looked in the room and saw V arguing with Bridget. Aish V always getting into arguments. I tried to look casual but still listen to their conversation. "Say yes or else." She demanded V. "Or else what? You're going to put makeup on my face and make me look like the clownish person you are?" I admit that was pretty clever, but hurtful. "Or else I'll make sure everyone bullies her for the rest of her life. Beating her up, making fun of her, and just straight up laughing!" V just chuckled and sat down. "You won't do that. I won't let you." He said standing up again. "Oh, really?! Try me......I dare you." He just walked away and I went to the water fountain and pretended to drink water.

"Sorry. Still want to roam the halls?" He asked with putting his hands in his pockets. "Umm sure." As we walked down the hall people were laughing and making kissy faces. "Hyung, hyung! You have to see this!" Jungkook ran up to V holding a paper that looked like it was all on the halls. The rest of them were following behind. "What?" He handed him the paper and V looked angry. "I swear I'm gonna---" he crumpled the paper and threw it on the floor, running with the rest. I picked up the paper and unfolded it. 'Cute Dancer and singer, V, is dating the horrible ugly nerd, Irene?! What a Loozr!" I looked up and saw people laughing and pointing. Shoving me, pushing me. Im lost in a world of bullies. I tied to follow them but they were out of my sight when I went upstairs.

I was just walking around the halls and I found them in an empty classroom. "Irene. What are you doing here?" Jin asked as they all looked up, V with tears in his eyes. "I just wanted to see if he was ok." Rap Monster got up and headed towards us. "He's fine. Just go." They were pushing me out of the door. "But I didn't want---" I was already out of the room. "We know you didn't. Just......for yours and his sake....stay away from him." They closed the door and I could feel tears forming in my eyes. I heard them arguing from the other side. As the door knob was turning, I ran as far away as possible. Why are they shutting me out? What is happening? What did I do this time?

Hi! It's whatever time it is in the night but you know I finished for you guys! For the stories on my other account.....should I delete them? I don't really have time for them and I don't update them often so I don't really know if I should continue them. Maybe I will make them short stories idk. I have to focus on schoolwork so that's why I haven't updated in a while but here ya go! Don't forget to vote!
