Sorry guys this chapter is a little boring but it gets better next chapter promise!

Eliza was happy that I wanted to go shopping with my friends and she didn’t care about giving us a lift. We drove to Emma’s apartment first and I was happy to find that Haley and Steph were there, it saved Eliza from driving across the Gold Coast to pick my friends up. Haley babbled happily about going shopping, she listed all the things she wanted to buy and I pretended to listen.

Last night I had that strange dream that I had the night before again. This time I realized that the guy named Jared kind of looked like the younger cop at Movieworld yesterday. It was strange for me to be dreaming about because I only saw him yesterday and I didn’t even know him.

The dream had changed a little and I had got to see a little more into the dream. Well it wasn’t the end of it but I remember that I had tried to get around the beam of fire; I was trying to reach Jared. I wanted to be next to him

and make sure that he was okay.

Haley continued to chat happily with Emma in the back. Haley seemed happy to be sitting in Eliza’s SUV; I guess it was because she didn’t have to listen to blink-182. Mum only had the radio on but they were playing songs by Chris Brown, Rihanna, T-pain and Swedish House Mafia.

“So are you going to uni?” mum asked Haley.

“Yes, I’m going to go next year after I have saved some money up for it,” Haley replied.

Then she began chatting happily about the course she wanted to do at university. Mum seemed to enjoy the fact that at least one of my friends want to go to uni. She was always pressuring me to go to uni to get a job and give up my dream of being a singer/songwriter/ DJ.

“So Alexis, have you decided if you wanted to go to uni?” mum asked.

“No I haven’t mum, but if I did I would study music,” I replied.

She made a clicking noise with her tongue and I crossed my arms over my chest and looked out the window hoping that my friends hadn’t really paid attention to our conversation.

“That isn’t a real dream,” Eliza told me.

“And studying something that I hate is?” I demanded.

“Alexis, you wouldn’t believe the things I’ve had to give up for you,” my mother snapped.

            “What have you given?”

This caught her off guard; I don’t think she was expecting me to ask her this. She looked straight ahead and I knew that this discussion was going to have to wait until later.

When we reached Pacific Fair mum pulled into the parking space that was closets to the door. I wanted to go my own way with the rest but Haley wanted to hang out with Eliza. I wasn’t going to leave them alone because that would look creepy, Eliza and Haley shopping together.

I could see that Eliza enjoyed having a girl that was actually fascinated in high heels with her

Mum went into City Beach with Haley while the rest of us trailed behind her. I walked upstairs and looked at the surfboards with Emma and Steph. A bunch of surfer guys were also looking at the surfboards and we seemed to catch their attention when we picked up surfboards and began examining them.
