Chapter Fifteen

I woke up to the view of Ruby fast asleep beside me and then I remembered what happened the previous night.

And by what happened I mean nothing.

We didn't go that far in the car. We just had a heavy make out session until we got tired and she decided to go back to hers and watch Netflix (without the chill (; ) and we eventually fell asleep on her bed at around 3am.

I unlocked my phone and checked my messages and my eyes widened when I saw that I had 27 missed calls from my mom.

I am so dead.

I clicked on her number and held up the phone to my ear, waiting for her to wake up.

"Mom?" I questioned into the phone.

"MEGAN MAHONY WHERE ARE YOU WHY HAVENT YOU ANSWERED MY CALLS I WAS WORRIED SICK!"

"Sorry mom! I stayed the night at Ruby's and we fell asleep I'm so sorry I'll be home soon I swear!" I bit my lip. I was literally shaking from fear right now.

My mom can be one scary mother fucker when she wants to be.

"You better!" She shouted down the phone and then hung up.

I sighed in frustration and dropped my phone.

I looked over at Ruby's body to see her staring right at me.

"When did you wake up?" I asked her.

"When you rang your mom. She sounded mad. Do you have to go home?"

I sighed "Yeah. She's pretty pissed at me"

Ruby nodded, understanding me and we both got out of her warm bed.

"Do you think you'll be grounded?" Ruby asked me as we got into her car.

"Nah. She never grounds me and I guess I'm too old to get grounded" I told her.

The rain from yesterday still poured down heavily from the sky.

"God, I hate the rain" Ruby chuckled (I actually hate that word ew) and turned the radio on.

"We have a report in that the rain London is experiencing for the past two days is not going to stop for another week! Weather reporters don't know what caused this but are trying to figure it out so stay tuned for the next while!" The invisible voice spoke from the radio.

"Just my luck" Ruby rolled her eyes and I giggled. I actually don't mind the rain.

"Hey, rainy days means more days for Netflix and chill" I winked at her and grinned.

"Oh look who's getting all cocky. But true babe" She winked back and we laughed.

We sat in silence as she drove, the sound of one of my favourite songs 'Car Radio by 21 Pilots' plying through the speakers of the car.

"Here we are" Ruby announced as we pulled up to my house.

I was about to open the car door but decided against it. I wanted to ask Ruby a question.

"Ruby, what are we?" I nervously asked her.

"Whatever you want us to be" She told me in a serious manner.

I groaned "Come on, give me a proper answer"

"Well, why don't we meet up tomorrow and see, yeah?" She smiled and I couldn't help but smile back.

I nodded in agreement "Yeah, okay" and got out of the car.

I waved her off as she drove away and I was already drenched from the non-stopping rain.

I opened my front door and mentally prepared myself when my mom sees me.

Sorry for not updating last weekend I was a bit bussyyyy :3

So tomorrow I'm going to see One Direction yay and then I'm going to Italy that night with my school year until next Friday! :D I'm so excited!
