Adronitis [Ruby Rose Fanfic]

Chapter Twelve

I looked up from Ruby's note after reading it once again and looked up at my surroundings.

All that was behind the bleachers was finished cigarettes that students didn't bother to dispose of properly.

I sighed. Where was Ruby? I've been waiting for ten minutes now.

"You came" I looked to my left and saw Ruby walking behind the bleachers towards me.

"I did" I nodded my head.

"Okay so you obviously know why I asked you to come here. To talk about the party" Ruby stood in front of me.

"What about it?" I shrugged my shoulders. Pretending that I didn't care.

"I want to know how you felt about it"

"I felt..nothing" I lied.

"Nothing?"

"Nothing"

It was quiet for a moment before she spoke up again.

"Well I'm gonna be honest here. I felt something. Because guess what? I actually kind of like you, Megan"

I looked up from the grass I was staring at and into her eyes in surprise.

She liked me?

"Wow Ruby I-" I began but she interrupted me.

"And I get it if you don't like me back since I'm kind of a bitch to you and all so I'll try not to get my hopes up but I just want you to know that, yeah I like you a lot" Ruby sighed.

"Ruby, I do like you. But I don't know what to do" I told her honestly.

"What? So you like me back but you don't know what to do? What does that mean?" She questioned and stepped towards me.

"I- I don't know because we've practically just met and I don't want to rush things" I sighed in frustration and rubbed my face with my hands.

"Well it's obvious if we both like each other that we should try something, you know? That's what normal people do in these situations" She stepped forward again.

"I don't know. I need some time" I looked away from her staring eyes and to the grass once again.

"Time for what?" By now she was only a few centimetres from her face touching mine and it was affecting me.

"To think" I gulped. She was making it really hard for me not to kiss her.

"Well then I'll give you time to think. To think about us and to think about this" She whispered and before I knew it she grabbed my face and kissed me with full force.

Before I could kiss back she pulled away and smirked.

"See you later" She winked and walked away from the bleachers.

Leaving me by myself.

"Mom I'm home!" I called out as I entered my house.

"In here sweetie!" I heard her yell from the living room.

I walked in to see her watching her favourite show, Come Dine With Me.

"Mom that show is so boring" I scoffed and sat down beside her on the couch.

"No it's not! It's very interesting! It's better than that crap you watch" She stuck her tongue out me and I laughed and did the same.

She lowered the volume "So how's college?"

"It's fine"

"Have you made any friends besides that Ruby girl?"

"Yeah like one" I rolled my eyes. I'm not very good at making friends.

"How is Ruby anyway? She's a lovely girl"

"She's fine. I'm going up to bed I'm tired" I faked yawned. Not wanting to talk about Ruby anymore.

"But you haven't even had dinner yet"

"Not hungry" I told her and walked up the stairs into my room.

I pulled out my laptop and plugged my earphones in to the side.

I searched 'Gasoline by Halsey' in the search bar and clicked on the song.

Scrolling through my Facebook feed all I saw was pictures of selfies of girls from my secondary school. I'm so glad I don't have to see them anymore.

After a while I drifted off to sleep with Halsey still playing in my ears.

Okay I know this chapter sucks but forgive me cause idk what to do ;_;

And I updated today instead of waiting until next Saturday too! Be happy! :D

I'm seeing the scorch trials tonight !!! So excited! :D

Also I just published another fanfic ( it's a Luke Hemmings one) so please read it and tell your friends and your mom and all that ;) haha seriously tho tell me what you think I'd appreciate it!

And also what do you think Megan should do now that Ruby likes her? ;) hmm
