Scene II (Chapter 2)

ASHTON

Ashton was lost in his own thoughts. He was trying to figure out why Luke hates him so much. He never did anything to Luke, or at least he doesn't remember doing anything to Luke. Plus he was still pretty upset about not getting the part. Was Luke making fun of everybody that auditioned for Jesse?

"Irwin! Pay attention!" Mrs. Parson (A.k.a. English teacher) snapped.

Ashton could hear the everyone quietly snicker, or was it just Luke and Rene in the back of the class.

"Alright everyone! Listen up! I will be putting you in groups to take notes and make a poster on the last novel we read, Lilac Skies by Melissa R. Higginson." Mrs. Parson said as she put on her thin framed glasses.

She read from her list who's in which group. When she got to the end of the list she read, "Ashton Irwin, Rene Rivers, Ivy Lockhart, and Luke Hemmings."

Oh no, Ashton thought. Just as they got in their groups Luke and Rene started throwing insults at Ashton. Ashton just ignored them. Ivy just watched in pity.

After class Ashton and Ivy walked to the cafeteria together.

"What's Luke and Rene's problem? Why are they always like this?" Rene stated.

"I honestly don't know. Wait, always like this? What do you mean always?" Ashton questioned.

"Rene and her ex-boyfriend Rhett used to make fun of me at one point, I don't know why but she and whoever she's dating at the moment always make fun of on random person that didn't get a part in the play. Long story short last year I tried to audition for the part of Melanie in the school production of Moon Meets Sun, then when I didn't get it and Rene got it she made fun of me for even trying, now I'm to afraid to go up against Rene so I work backstage" Ivy commented.

"Oh."

When they got to the cafeteria Ivy went to her table and Ashton went to M.A.C. (Michael, Calum, Ashton) table.

"Hey Ashton, is that your girlfriend?" Michael joked while wiggling his eyebrows.

"No, she's just a friend."

"Gosh! You don't know how to take a joke at all bro," Michael protested.

"Ash, still feel bad about not getting Jesse?" Calum questioned.

"A little..."

"Is there anything we can do to make you feel better? We'll do anything!" Calum cooed.

"Well not anything, we can't have a threesome with you," Michael added.

Calum covered Michael's mouth so he can't talk. Ashton was trying to hold in a laugh. Then Michael removed Calum's hand and exclaimed, "and we can't give you a blow, make out with you, send you nudes, go lingerie shopping with you, or do BDSM with you."

Ashton grimaced, "Okay you took it a bit too far Mike."

"And Michael, you can only do those things with me," Calum added in.

"Ew."

Then Rene and Luke walked toward their table and sat down. Ashton stopped eating and pushed away his lunch plate when he saw Luke and Rene making out again.

"F*ck, I'm done with this," Ashton announced as he stood up.

Ashton went over to Rene and Luke, he broke their kiss, grabbed their arms and dragged them over to a different table, or to be more specific the jock and cheerleader table. Then when Ashton was done with that he sat back down at the M.A.C. table.
