Drama Club~ Lashton AU

Scene III (Chapter 3)

One week has passed since last Monday when Luke, Ashton, Rene, and Ivy were assigned to work on a group project in English, which meant this week is the official first meeting for drama club (Actors, understudies, and stage crew). Luke woke up at 5 a.m. before anyone else was awake and took a shower. After he took a shower he got dressed in his black I don't trust me either muscle tank top, black ripped skinny jeans, and black Vans. Then he went downstairs to make himself breakfast since his mum never makes him breakfast, nor his dad, mostly because he's always at work. Luke doesn't really know how to cook so he just made an omelette and prayed that he won't burn the house down.

    When he was done cooking it was about 6:38 a.m. so he ate the omelette and listened to Twenty One Pilots. His friends recommended he should listen to them for awhile now anyways. Luke turned out really liking their music, his favorite song by them so far was Car Radio.

    At 7 a.m. Luke grabbed his keys and got in the car. First he had to pick Rene up then go to school. He arrived at Rene's house and picked her up. Then she got into the passenger's seat and  kissed Luke. Luke wasn't in the mood for this, but he had to so he kissed her back.

    Luke broke the kiss to say, "Rene, we have to get to school or else we'll be late."

    Rene just pouted and agreed silently. Luke started the engine to his mum's red Mazda  CX-9 which he always uses and drove to school.

    When he got there Luke parked his car and got out. Then he groaned when he got out because Rene was waiting for him to open the door.

    He opened the door for her and angrily mumbled, "There you go, princess."

    She ignored him and kissed Luke on the cheek. Luke was never really that much into her, he just felt forced to like her, he saw her breakup with her last boyfriend and that ended in flames. Luke and Rene just walked into the school. Luke tried going to his locker alone, but Rene followed him.

    "Hon, I need space," Luke said through gritted teeth.

    "But baby! I want to be with you! We haven't been together much lately!" Rene pouted.

    "RENE! We had sex last night! We're almost always together! I just want to be alone for once!"

    Rene saw Ashton and smirked, "Fine I'll leave you alone... but first you have to make fun of Ashton."

    Luke didn't want to, but he had to or else A) Rene will never leave him alone B) She will throw a tantrum in the middle of the hallway and that will not be pretty.

    Luke walked over to Ashton, pushed him over, and faked a laugh, "Nerd."

    Then Luke walked back over to Rene.

    "There! Are you happy?! Now leave me alone because I need space!"

    "I'll see you in 4th period English, Lukey!" Rene chirped before she walked over to her cheerleader friends.

    Ashton was still picking up his books so Luke decided to help him pick them up.

    "But you were the one who pushed me down..."

    Luke sighed, "I know."

    "Then why are you helping me?"

    "I would tell you, but Rene will kill me."

    "Why?" Ashton asked.

    "I actually don't know, but she doesn't want me to tell anyone."
