A Call from Valencia

It was the next day when I got a call from Valencia. I picked up my phone and answered, sitting on my huge porch against a wall because I had no furniture. "Hello, this is Nicole." I asked through the phone excitedly. "Yes... Nicole, I need you to verify that you said yes to our offer." My heart practically leaped out of my chest. "Yes... I said yes. When will my shoot be for my profile?" We all had to do a profile picture, for modeling companies to use when they sign us up for commercials. "Does Wednesday work?", "Yes ma'am. Can you email me the information?", "Yes, I will. What is your email?" I talked very slowly as I gave her my email and hung up.

I walked back inside and started making breakfast. I made eggs, a smoothie, and some spinach. After I finished eating I went back inside my room to unpack. My dresser was already up, so I grabbed the first box of clothes I could find and packed it into the dresser. I was too lazy to unpack another box so I called over my kittens, Kalila and Minna. They both padded over, their soft paws making small sounds against the hardwood floor. I grabbed their starter packs out this morning, so it was time to get them ready.

The starter packs came with small complimentary bows to attach to their fur. I got blue and pink, so I put the blue on Minna, and the pink on Kalila. Minna curled up on the floor and started to clean her fluffy, brown fur and Kalila trotted off to go eat her food. I set the crates by the porch, taking the beds out and putting them in my room. The kit came with a small variety of random toys, a cat carrier, and a small kitten blanket, because they said to wrap them at night because they get cold easy. It also came with some mandatory items, like a 2-in-1 food and water bowl, a litter box, and a small booklet of do's and don'ts about cats.

I hadn't noticed but I had a runny nose, and a stomach ache. I walked into the bathroom and took out the thermometer from one of the boxes. I held it in my mouth for a minute and took it out. My temperature was 99.5, and I have a natural low temperature. I guess it was time for a sick day. I grabbed my headphones and my phone, going on Facebook. After i got bored with Facebook, I went on Instagram. Somewhere between then and now, Minna climbed on my chest and blocked the view of my phone. "Kalila! Come here baby!" I yelled and she came sauntering over.

I grabbed her and put her on my chest along with Minna to take a selfie. I took the picture and turned Netflix on on my phone to curl up and go to sleep.
