Three starry cats sat in a grassy clearing. A cool breeze blew through the forest and the three cats glowed in the dim light. After what seemed moons of silence a tall dark gray tom spoke, his pale blue eyes sparkling with youth.
"These cats can't keep living like this! Half of them return to their own precious Twolegs at night," the gray tom's voice hung with disapproval.
"Is that why you have gathered us?" a creamy brown she-cat asked.
Skywatcher nodded.
The creamy cat nodded looking towards the third unspoken cat.
"What do you think, Cloudstar?" the creamy she-cat asked him.
The gray and white tom looked up from his feet.
"Leafstar, you do know the warrior code, right?" Cloudstar asked.
"Yes but-" Leafstar began.
"But? But what? We have broken the warrior code. These cats will not go on like this! If they stay like this how will they stick a clan?" Cloudstar argued.
"But for Billystorm," Leafstar's voice faltered.
"He isn't here? Is he? These poor "daylight warriors" think they lead a life of honor and think they will see their dead ones!" Cloudstar's voice was angry, yet sad.
"Leafstar, Cloudstar, please do not argue. I do agree with Cloudstar though, they must move, take only the warriors that wish to leave their Twolegs and warm nights," Skywatcher growled.
Leafstar looked up with worry at the two toms. She sucked her teeth in.
"Okay, I will get a cat to talk to the cats," Leafstar agreed hesitantly. She looked down at the area where earth was missing, through the whole she could see the Camp of Skyclan. She could see apprentices play-fighting and Warrior's sharing meals.
The two toms she were talking to had disapeared when she looked up again.
"I am doing it for you," Leafstar whispered to herself, looking down at the camp.
