We hurt others in the quest for each other,
Failed attempts to move on,
The arrows of our compass point in one direction,
Always each other,
Always holding on,
How long until we get it right?
Hindered by our selfish desires,
Held back by our immaturity,
Games we play,
So consumed with causing each other pain,
We never looked at the big picture,
We fail our hearts, once, twice and forevermore,
But at the end of the day,
We want the same thing,
So why can't we get it right.
