As I was walking around, I found myself heading back toward the forest. It was around noon then, and I knew I was no longer wandering. I didn't have a plan for when I got there, I just couldn't seem to stay away. I had to know. I had to find out who she was.

After I had been walking through the forest on two feet for a while, I let my wolf take over. Before long, I was thrumming along on four paws. What seemed like even less time, I was by her house.

I sat in my usual spot and watched. The blue car was no where in sight. I watched the house for hours. Judging by the sun, it was probably around four o'clock.

I had been watching for a while. Probably half an hour passed, and so I laid down. I was about to drift off, when I heard a sound.

The door. I heard it open so I slowly, carefully sat back up. It was the boy again. This time when he came out of the house, he was holding hands with a small child. It was a little girl, probably three years old. She had thin white-blond hair that barely passed her shoulders.

"Are you gonna push me on the swing, Ryn?" [A/N: Ryn is pronounced like "Rin" or "Wren". You'll understand where the name comes from later on.] I heard the little girl ask, as she looked up at the boy while pulling on his arm.

"Of course Addy, come on," he said sofly.

"Yay! Hey Ryn?" the girl asked.

"Yes Ad?"

"I like when you play with me. Mommy doesn't like to play."

I heard the boy, Ryn, sigh. "Well Addy, that's just because your mommy is very busy. She has a lot of work she has to do."

"Becaue daddy left?" the little girl asked.

Ryn looked away from her. "Yeah. So she can take care of you. Is that what she told you?" He looked a little upset, kind of sad.

By now they had made it to the tire swing. Ryn lifted the girl up and sat her through the hole in the center and waited for her to hang on. Once she had a good grip, she said, "Yeah. Mommy says she wants to play but she can't. She has too much to do."

"Well Addy," Ryn said, pulling the swing back and releasing it. "You've got me to play with. Any time you want, you can come and play with me since I live closer to you now."

Addy smiled. "I know Ryn."

Ryn smiled back at her to please her, but I could tell he still felt uneasy. I felt sad myself after hearing all that about the poor child. She was far too young to have to go through any of that. I wished I could help somehow, but knew it wasn't my place.

I wished it was my mate out there playing with Addy rather than this boy, Ryn, her brother? I could smell her, even more strongly when Ryn came outside, but that must just be because he's so close to her for so much time. Maybe she and he are twins, that would explain why I could feel the connection through him so strongly as well.

I sighed, and decided to lay down again. As I started moving though, my foot landed on a stick and it snapped loudly.

Addy and Ryn had both been laughing and giggling away, but when that stick snapped, I heard only Addy. I slowly looked up and my eyes were met with Ryn's. He looked scared at first, but I sat back down and he seemed to calm down some.

His eyes became dodgy, scanning all over the forest. He probably thought I'd brought my pack back here with me.

Finally, he spoke. "Addy, I think it's time we go inside."

"Aaw, but why Ryn?" she whined.

"Uhm, we need to go insdie, Addy, so I can start cooking dinner, okay? Now, come on, let me help you down."
