Draco lay awake in his bed, staring upwards. His mind was racing about what had happened. The girls he like for the past six years had kissed him. She was the reason he had rejected so many other girls. She was the reason he was always so distracted in class. She was the reason he had so many crumpled up love letters under his bed. And she had kissed him.

Girls were confusing. They never talk to you until one day you spend a few hours together and BAM! She randomly decides you're good enough to start snogging.

"Draco! You asleep?" Harry whispered in the darkness.

"Nope, I'm riding a threeheaded dog." Instantly, Draco thought of himself and Hermione collecting Fluffy's spit.

"Yeah, right," Harry laughed. "So how was the scavenger hunt?"

"Uh..." Draco thought of all of the ways he could've described it. Amazing... Wonderful... Awesome... "It was fun."

"Cool, so who was your partner?"

"Hermione."

"Nice, she's that girl you like, right? Anyways, mine was Cho. We were nowhere close to finishing, though." Harry giggled a little.

"What? Why not?" Draco asked.

"Well, I was super excited for it. But after we got our list, I guess Cho had other ideas, because she snuck me into her common room. We ended up making out instead of doing the hunt. No complaints, though!"

Draco laughed. He wanted to tell Harry about what had happened, but he also wanted to keep it private for now. A memory just for him.

"Okay, I'm going to try to sleep," Harry informed his friend.

"Alright," Draco said as he rolled onto his side and fell asleep, too.

Professor Lupin walked into class slightly late the next day. (Lupin has been teaching D. A. D. A. ever since Draco's third year at Hogwarts.)
"Alright, everybody, todat we are talking about dementors!"

The students whispered worriedly with each other.

"Don't worry! I don't have an actual one!" Lupin joked. "But you will be learning how to defend yourself if you ever come across one."

Lupin went on teaching about how to properly cast the spell 'Expecto Patronum' and eventually had the students try it.

Draco was sitting alone at the nack of the class when Hermione walked up to him.

"Hey," she said.

Draco smiled and said, "Hi."

"We need to talk," Hermione said seriously.

"Okay," Draco agreed as he looked down.

"About yesterday... I understand if you don't like me. I shouldn't have done that. I'm really sorry if you don't feel the sa-"

Draco interrupted her by gently putting his hand against the side of her head and touching his lips to hers.
Draco pulled his mouth away, but kept his face close. Their noses were almost touching. There foreheads were resting against each other.

Hermione smiled and looked up at Draco. "Well that was nice."

Draco laughed. The two of them stood up straight once again before anyone noticed what they were doing.

"Meet me tonight at the doors of the Great Hall?" Draco asked.

"Sure," Hermione said as she started walking back to her friends.
