Draco lay on his back atop his bed on a gloomy Wednesday night. Wednesday. Hermione goes to the library on Wednesdays.
It was three weeks since the two of them broke up, and Draco still felt sick whenever he thought of her.
The heartbroken teenager lay on his bed, thinking. He thought about so many things. These very thoughts were the ones that led him to a brilliant idea.
Draco jumped out of bed and ran out of his common room. He headed toward the library as fast as he possibly could.
He flung open the library doors and raced up and down the aisles, disregarding all of the 'slow down's and 'stop running's.
Finally, he caught sight of Hermione and ran up to her. He stood in front of her with his hands on his knees for a moment, catching his breath.
"Hermione," Draco gasped. "I don't care about what your friends think of me. I honestly don't give a shit. I just know that I love you, and that's all that matters, because our relationship doesn't involve them. Its just you, and me."
Draco grabbed Hermione's wrist and brought her to the table where her friends were gossiping.
"You girls cannot do a dned thing about stuff that doesn't involve you so you might as well take your big fat noses and stick them in someone else's business. I love Hermione and there is not a damned thing you can do about it. You girls may not like me but I honestly do not care whatsoever." With this, Draco put one arm around Hermione, leaned in, and kissed her right then and there.
Hermione's friends were so stunned that, for once, they just sat in silence.
Hermione hadn't smiled so much since before the break up as she did right then.
Draco felt the adrenaline of what he had just done pumping through his veins.
"Got a problem with that?" Draco asked Lacy.
Lacy was just barely able to shake her head 'no' she was so shocked.
Draco grabbed Hermione's hand as they left the library together.
