I shivered as the door slowly opened.
What the freak is up with doors these days?
I walk in but quickly fall back as I run into something.
I look up to see what I ran into and scream.
There it was a man hanging.
With a note around his neck.
"Too bad this note does not have the directions you were looking for. And remember it could be worse."
I shutter and quickly close the door falling to the ground to re-gain humanity, to continue on with his stupid little sick game.
I walk slowly, not wanting to find out what may be in the next room.
I look at my watch.
11:53.
Everyone is asleep by now.
I try to make myself push forward and continue but I can't and fall to the ground in defeat, as the darkness consumed me.
Let the games begin.
His words played through my head.
I see sunlight shining through the little holes and cracks through the roof.
Its morning now and all I want to do is be done with his game.
Why me??
Why not any other human being on the planet?
Aside from a birth family, I had a happy life, I was so grateful for.
I had finished collage with a degree in child psychology.
I had my own house in London and I was happy.
With a fiancee' who loves me.
And my wedding on the way, it was going to be amazing.
And we even have adoption papers to fill out, when, and if we make it home.
I value my life and now I'm playing a sick game for a crazy man for my future.
My stomach growled and something dawned on me.
I hadn't eaten in two days.
Before I was put into this hunt I wasn't hungry.
I didn't eat and actually plan on rewarding myself with a cupcake once I got home from my run.
I decided to make plans to eat at The Payne's, and quickly memorized the door number I would knock on next, and hurried downstairs.
I ordered my food and sat down, awaiting my foods arrival.
