It was all starting to come to him now.
Her usually aggressive and demanding brow had turned soft and understanding. She had always been a dork but she could snap back into what she had been doing previously, with no problem. He noticed that that had become harder for her to do. Bianca must have made her a little more... loopy. Her eyes had grown weary and exhausted.
The brown seemed fuller. But the moment that he saw her look at her daughter, they sparkled like when they were young. He realized that the reason that she dyed her hair brown was because she couldn't keep up with constant retouching. He took this guilt upon himself.
He let her slip through the cracks, until she reached this tired state. Her hair naturally wavy. Makeup haphazardly thrown on. However, he didn't think that she looked bad. Motherhood looked good on this rock legend. But he couldn't let go of the fact that Bianca had been growing up without a father.
He loved Bianca's name, but always expected Stevie to pick a more Wiccan name. Like Lilith or River Rose. Strangely enough, she'd always be drilling into his head that she wasn't a witch.
A part of him wished that he would have been there for Bianca's first Halloween. It had always been Stevie's favorite holiday and there was no doubt in his mind that Stevie dressed her up as a witch.
Lindsey needed a break. Without telling Stevie, he walked out. She didn't stop him. She knew he needed space, a child was a lot to take in.
He roamed the L.A. streets. Viewing everything in a new light. A costume shop. "That would be a fun place to take Bianca." A dress shop. "Maybe a few years before we need to take Bianca there."
We. Did he actually think that he and Stevie would be together for Bianca? A small part of him hoped that they would be.
