Chapter 1.

“(YN), you stay away from him, that’s it. You have nothing to say about this , you just don’t see him anymore, end of discussion.” My dad told me. He walked away from me as tears rolled down my cheeks. “But dad, you don’t understand, you don’t know him!” I tried before my father turned around, his dark eyebrows knit together as he pointed to me. “I do know him, everyone in town knows him! He has a bad influence on you, on everyone!” He hissed through gritted teeth before he walked towards hall, ready to go upstairs. “Mum would give him a chance…” I whispered.

~ YOUR POV ~

“Are you sure? I mean, I can give you a ride, I don’t mind.” My friend Austin said as I closed my locker and throwing my books in my bag. I looked up to him and shook my head. “No, thanks, I’ll manage. It’s only a few minutes walk.” I heard my best friend sigh as I put my arms through the sleeves of my warm coat, pulling the zipper up to my chin. “But it’s raining an– ” “Austin, it’s okay.” I said, cutting him off. He shrugged his shoulders, “Alright, suit yourself and don’t blame me if you get a cold!”. We walked out of the school building, immediately the raindrops falling on the fabric of my coat.

Together with Austin I walked towards his car when he suddenly said, “You know that boy, Harry Styles, right?” I nodded as respond, everyone in town knew him, the boy who went to the same school as I, but we weren’t classmates because he was two years older than I was. He was known as the ‘bad boy’, because he always got in fights. People knew that he was bad news and he had a bad reputation. His dark brown curls and his dark eyes as he looked straight into yours and his dark eyebrows knit together made you shiver. But honestly, there was something about him what made me think it was pretty attractive, but I knew I should stay away from him.

“I don’t know,” Austin while stuffing his hands in the pockets of his jeans and shrugged his shoulders, “He scares me.” He mumbled. I let out a chuckle. “He scares you?” I asked, “Austin, come on, are you serious? Why would you be scared of him?” I asked as we reached Austin his car. He looked straight into my eyes. “Doesn’t he scare you? Have you heard what he did last week?” He hissed as I shook my head, “No?” I whispered. “Well, he got into a fight again,” Austin told me as I raised my eyebrows, that wasn’t new for all of us, actually I was used to the fact Harry fighting. “And the guy he fought with, is in the hospital right now.” My lips parted to say something, but nothing came out of my throat. Austin didn’t wait for my respond as he opened the car door, ready to get in. “Yeah, I know right. Do you understand why he scares me?” I nodded as I stuffed my hands in the pockets of my coat. “That’s why I stay away from him, just like you should do. I’ll see you Monday, I’ll text you.” He said before he got into his car and drove away from me.

It began to rain harder and harder as I walked home, finally I started running, holding my hood up because the wind kept threatening to blow it off of my head. Why was I so stupid to refuse Austin’s offer?

Puffs of smoke floated around my mouth as I let my breath escape and my lips were cold. I almost made it home as a shout caught my attention. I looked to my right, seeing the park on the other side of the streets, leaves were blown off the trees by the wind as the rain clattered against the benches and lampposts. “Get off!” Someone shouted. In a few seconds I saw two persons on the ground. The person on top raised his fist, ready to punch the person under him. “Shut up!” Another voice screamed, causing to fill the silence air around them. “Get the fuck off me, you prick!” The person below yelled back. I stood there, watching the two boys fighting like there was no tomorrow. They let each other feel their own fists against their jaws and noses. I bit the inside of my cheek, hesitating if I should go there to stop the boys fighting. I shook my head as I pulled my zipper more up to my chin, trying to get it a little bit warmer and I turned around, when a louder scream got my attention. I turned around again and without hesitating, my feet brought me to the street and without looking if cars were driving, I ran to the other side of the street, through the metal fences, to the park. “Stop!” I yelled, “Stop!” The two boys looked up, their clothes were soaked as raindrops fell from their locks of hair, covering their foreheads. While yelling, the boy who lay on the ground, got his chance to flip his enemy over, so he was on top. A dark haired boy who wore a black, leather jacket and dark jeans, was now below the other boy. His nose got punched again and blood streamed down his face, over his lips, reaching his chin and finally falling on his t-shirt or the wet grass below him. “Stop, now!” I yelled again as I was only a few meters away from the fighting boys. My feet stumbled through the wet grass, bringing me to the two boys. I lay my hand on the shoulder from the boy who was on top, pulling him backwards. He looked up and his black eyes looked straight into mine. His jaw was bruised and there was a small cut just above his left eyebrow, a small stream of blood streaming over his dark eyelashes. “Stop, both of you,” I whispered as I pulled the shoulder towards my chest, causing the boy standing up. He looked into my eyes as his eyebrows were frowned, I didn’t say anything, I just kept looking into his eyes until he looked back to his enemy. He pointed his finger towards him, “I’ll get you, Styles,” He hissed before giving me one more glance and walking away. My heart skipped a beat at his last word, Styles. I looked back to the boy who still lay in the grass, his dark brown hair in a quiff as his green eyes looked up to me. I swallowed, was this the boy Austin told me about?
