Chapter 7 - A son I never had

As Eddie, Evan, and me headed outside Eddie wrapped an protective arm around me as we walked into the courtyard.

My eyes trailed on every building and inmate in the courtyard, a lot of inmates ran when they saw Eddie, guessing they had a run in with Eddie, some of them whistled as they saw Evan, with his feminine looks you can easily mistake him for a girl.

"Shut the fuck up!" He snapped making the inmates jump and shut up.

I thought I saw a shadow fly across the sky- the inmates saw it and ran.

'Oh fuck!'

The shadow landed in the middle of the court yard as Eddie held me close, Evan backing up behind Eddie as the smoke cleared to see a- male?!

He looked at us and smiled "Hello there." He said as he walked up to us, "My names Miles Upshur."

(Wolfy: Did I spell his last name right?!)

"Miles? Your that reporter guy!" Evan said "Used to be- now I'm the wallriders host." "So basically he's using you as a life source?" "Yeah.. But hey I killed Mr. Blaire!" "And he's killed many more than you!" I pointed out, Miles looked at me "What? Your saying just because I killed someone who has been keeping you a prisoner that I'm not-" "Insane? Your not insane! You just killed him! Your not insane your a murderer!" Miles grabbed me by the throat "Watch you fucking mouth!"

Eddie pulled out his knife before he could do anything Miles threw him aside like he was nothing- knocking him out, doing the same with Evan as I began gasping for air, clawing at his hands trying to pry his hands open as I was dangling above the ground.

Miles then let me go, I dropped to the floor as he leaned down and said "Say something like that again and I'll kill you- got it?" I nodded as Miles then got up, giving me a good kick in the stomach, I groaned in pain as Miles turned to black smoke and left..

Eddie got up, groaning as he looked around, spotting me he picked me up, "Oh, darling! Are you okay?!" I shook my head as Eddie picked me up as well as Evan throwing him over his shoulder, Eddie headed inside as inmates coward in fear.

Once we made it inside I had my head resting against Eddies chest, we walked back to the room with the bed in it [should call it our room] Eddie settled me down on the bed, as well as Evan, Eddie smiled lightly at Evan.

"You must really care about him.." I muttered as Eddie looked up at me, "You do know how old he is- right?" I shook my head "He's 24, the youngest here." My eyes widen "He acts way older than 24." I pointed out "Gets it from.. Everyone here." Eddie sat down next to me as he said "Evan is like a son I never had. I care about him, even if he can be a pain at times.." I smiled at Eddie, 'never thought I'll see this side of Eddie..'

Eddie looked down, "He needs someone to look after him, if I wasn't here Evan would have killed himself.." Eddie traced his fingers over the bandages on Evan left arm, making Evan flinch, "He's been through so much.." "He's lucky to have you.." Eddie smiled, hearing someone say that just made him happy, made him feel better than anything. "As I told every slut here, I would let nothing hurt my children- even if Evan isn't my son, I will treat him like he's my own son, until the day I die." I hugged Eddie, resting my head against his chest as Evan laid on the bed in silence his breathing was slow and barely noticeable.

"How long was he here?" "Since.. Eh.. 2003..? I can barely remember.."

"That's pretty long.." "Yeah.." Evan groaned as he shifted a little, "must be having another nightmare.." Eddie picked him up, setting him down in his lap Evan laid in his lap sleeping as he seemed to calm down, "He calms down if he is held." I nodded, Evan then grabbed Eddies vest whimpering as he buried his face into Eddies chest, Eddie rubbed his back trying to sooth him, "Darling wake up.." With those words Evans eyes opened as he hugged Eddie sobbing, Eddie tried to calm him, "Shhh, shhhhh, it was just a nightmare.." Evan calmed down as he didn't let go of Eddie, "D-Do I have to... To go?" Evan asked "No, Evan, this place is like your home, stay here as long as you like, remember I'm taking care of you?" "R-Right.." I looked at Eddie confused "What does he mean by that?" "He lives in another section of the Asylum, not that far from me, but it's away from everyone else."

Evan then grabbed me pulling me close to Eddie and him hugging both of us, "Wha-" "I don't want you to feel left out." I smiled at Evan as he then closed his eyes and fell asleep.

{Evan: I DONT SLEEP THAT MUCH!!
Eddie: ...... Ye-
Evan: *covers Eddies mouth* don't.}

"Hey (y/n), do you know what actually happened to all of the females here?" "What?" "Murkoff decided to do an experiment on a female inmate- they did surgery on them turning them into males- now they can't get pregnant or anything so even if I wanted to I couldn't get them pregnant. However it took so much time and money that they ended up killing all of them." "Oh... I.. I never knew that.." "It's okay, Evan really needs someone however.. Only sometimes he would want to go home.. To his real home.." I frowned, looking at Evan with pity, how could Murkoff do this to a kid!? Take him away from their family!

"Well, I got one thing though.. A child- even if he's not related to me or you, he's better than nothing- and I'm glad I chose you as my bride~" Eddie kissed me on the lips making me internally squeal [because who wouldn't?]

"I'm glad I found someone like you.~" you smiled as Evan then groaned.

"Ewww.... Gross.. Do that... when I'm not here..."
