Chapter 17 - Shadows

I was resting on Eddies chest, my eyes closed as Eddie rubbed my back soothingly.

That's when he stopped, "darling I need to wake up, Evan." I groaned "I don't wanna.." Eddie sighed as he picked me up, carrying me out the room and to the elevator, I was cuddled close to Eddies chest with the jacket as a blanket as I rested my head on his chest.

Once making it to the upper floor, Eddie walked to our bedroom, opening the bedroom door, he settled me down on the bed and walked over to Evan.

Evan shifted lightly as Eddie placed a hand on Evans shoulder, "Evan.. Wake up.." Eddie said quietly as Evan shifted, Eddie then placed a hand under Evans chin, Evan eyes widen as he hit Eddies hand away, "Don't touch my neck!" Evan hissed as he sat up, "Evan you have to go see Rick." "Ugh.. Fine.." Evan grabbed his crutches and headed out of the room as Eddie took the jacket off of me and covered me up with a blanket, "Your still tired?" He asked as I grabbed him pulling him into the bed with me, "I want to cuddle with yooooouuu..!" Eddie smiled "Okay, darling."

As I headed to Ricks office, sighing as the voices came back.

What's wrong Mutt?

I glared at the shadow beside me as more seem to come, surrounding me, I stopped... I was surrounded...

My breathing sped up as my eyes widen.

Aw, it's scared!

One said as I sent it a glare- they never used proper pronunciation when they talked to me..

Eddie doesn't care about you- you know that? Why don't you just DIE?

I couldn't move... They knew how to break me...

Oh.. And poor Zor! You killed him with no mercy!

I shook my head, tears threatening to spill as I tried to hold back a cry..

My legs started to shake, I could barely stand..

"I... I didn't... Mean to..." I choked out as they laughed.

You guys remember when it got on top of Zor, stabbing him repeatedly in the chest and throat and then ripping Zor's heart out?

I fell to the ground.. "I didn't mean too.." I didn't have control over my insanity when I was young- lashing out at people who were just trying to help..

I killed most of my friends from this...

Ha! It's gonna cry!

I covered my ears as they began laughing, their laughter grew louder and louder as I cried- probably making a scene because for everyone else they see nothing around me... But the inmates knew not to mess with me when I'm having another episode.

"I-I'm sorry..." I choked out as their laughter just grew louder and louder until I screamed in pain.

"Evan!"

I shook my head as I then felt two hands being pressed on my shoulders.

"Evan!"

My eyes widen as I snapped back to reality, I was panting as Rick was in front of me, his face showed worry as he helped me up.

"Are you okay?" I nodded "Y-Yeah.. F-Fine..." "If you want to tal-" "No... No.. I don't... Want to..." "You are gonna tell Eddie.. Right?" I nodded, I always told Eddie about my episodes..

"Come on, let's check your wounds.. Okay?" I nodded "O-Okay.." I grabbed the crutches and followed Rick to his office.
