-Ayden's POV-

"She isn't answering my phone calls or texts." I tell Mason.

"It's okay. She's probably just busy, or sleeping. What time is it there?" he asks me.

"It's only eight. She's not sleeping." I try ringing her phone again, but it's off. "Now her phone is off." I say to Mason.

"Maybe it's dead? Have you tried ringing Carter? Maybe he knows where she is." He suggests. I haven't tried ringing Carter, but I probably should, so I quickly dial his number.

"Hey Ayden." Carter answers.

"Where's Molly? She wasn't answering her phone and her phone's off now. Is she alright?" I throw questions at him.

"Ayden, she's fine. She went to America for an emergency, she doesn't know when she'll be back." He tells me. America? Why would she go there without telling me? And what's this emergency?

"Why'd she go there?" I anxiously ask him.

"I don't know, she didn't tell me. All she said was that she's going to America for an emergency and she doesn't know when she'll be back. I told you everything I know." Carter says.

"Fuck." I say and hang up the phone.

"Well that was a little rude, yeah? I'm sure she's fine. You're worrying for nothing." Mason says to me.

"She went to America for an emergency. What kind of emergency could be so bad that she has to leave the country?" I ask him.

"I don't know, I'm not Jesus."

"That's not helpful." I say back to him.

"Would you like me to ring Jesus for you?" he asks me.

"That would be nice." I reply.

"Sorry, I don't have his number. I don't think they have reception up in heaven!" he raises his voice.

"Well fuck, Mason. I don't know what to do." I say, sitting down.

"Well we have a concert in twenty minutes. If I were you, I'd get my shit together." He tells me. I roll my eyes and leave the room.

--

After the concert, I check my phone to see if Molly tried to reach me, and there's nothing. As we get back to the hotel, my phone starts ringing. I quickly pull it out to see that it's Molly and a wave of relief flows over me.

"Ayden?" I hear Molly crying on the other end.

"Molly? What's wrong?" I ask her.

"Can you do me a huge, huge favour?" she asks me.

"What is it?"

"Katie's sister is in the hospital with cancer..." she barely says. "and she's a huge fan." She pauses. "She's dying, Ayden." Molly sobs into the phone. I can't stand to hear her crying like this. The first time we met, she was crying and now I just can't take it.

"You want us to come meet her?" I try to figure out what she's asking.

"Please? If you can." She replies.

"We don't have a concert tomorrow night, if we come on a plane now, we can get back by the next concert." I tell her. "I'll ask Paul and the boys."

"Thank you so much. You have no idea what this means." She cries.

"Anytime." I say and hang up.

I walk over to the other boys and ask them if we can go to America because Katie's sister is dying of cancer and she's a huge fan. They're okay with it as long as we're back before the next show.
