"Why do you keep beating me at this? What am I doing wrong?" Jase says, laughing.

"You're just bad at video games, it's not my fault." I simply reply to him, putting the Xbox controller down.

"Am not, I'm pretty good at them, I'm just having a bad day." He pouts. I simply roll my eyes and sit back against the couch on the floor.

Jase and I have been playing video games for a few hours now at my house. I asked if he wanted to come over just to hang out; I'm having a pretty fun time.

I told Jase about what happened with Ayden and me.

"So he just walked out on you?" Jase asks.

"Yeah. I tried talking to him about everything and he just left, hasn't talked to me since." I say.

"He could at least try to work things out, you know, but I guess that's just Ayden." He tells me.

"You've known him longer than I have; is he usually like this with other girls he's been with?" I hesitantly ask Jase.

"Like what? Doesn't let them have friends? Doesn't have full trust in them? Overprotective? Yeah, but not like this. With you it's more... extreme." he tells me. Extreme? Why me though? Why do I have to deal with this shit?

"I feel like everyone else understands me better than he does." I tell Jase. Jase is a good person to talk to. He's sweet, funny and helpful. Plus Ayden doesn't hate him. "What would Ayden do if he knew you were at my house with me?" I curiously ask.

"He might yell." Jase shrugs.

"He won't hit you?"

"'Course not," he laughs slightly. "Ayden may be tough to other people, but when it comes to his bandmates, he won't do anything. He may tell you that he'll pound my face in, but he's just saying that. Imagine how his reputation would shift if the press found out that he beat up one of his own band members?" He's got a point there. Ayden's reputation and the band would be ruined.

"That's true. You're a good person. I just wish he could understand some things. I wish he could see things differently, you know?" I say.

"Yeah, me too. He'll learn one day. He'll learn that he's got an amazing girl right in front of him, and if he keeps doing what he's doing, he won't have her anymore." Jase's words make me blush.

The next thing I know, I'm leaning in and press my lips to his, but he pushes away for a second.

"I wouldn't make a move on you, but you making a move on me, that's something I can't stop." he smiles and I lean back in.

Jase leans against the couch and I climb over to straddle him. My hands cup his cheeks as he holds my waist. The kiss deepens and I run my fingers through his blonde hair; it's so soft.

His lips against mine feel so much more different than Ayden's. It's a good different though, I like it.

Suddenly I hear the front door burst open and I jerk around to see who it is. Ayden. Fuck. I hurry to get off Jase, but it wasn't quick enough.

Ayden doesn't say anything, he just has a pissed and disappointed look on his face. I wipe my lip as I lean back on the couch and look down.

"Get out." Ayden says firmly to Jase. He gets up and walks out the door, Ayden slamming it behind him; I jump at the loud slam.

"Get up." Ayden firmly tells me. I stand up and Ayden grabs my arm to pull me closer to him. "Now, I don't have the energy to fight with you right now because I am very drunk. I want you to explain to me why you were kissing him." Ayden isn't yelling. He's talking in a calm voice to my surprise.
