I sit bolt upright,thrown out of dreamland by my nightmares.
I wonder why the windows are facing the wrong direction. Then I remember I'm in Caius' room.
I relax for a moment then look at the clock and immediately panic. I'm supposed to be at base command in five minutes.
Shitshitshit.
I get out of bed immediately and try to put on my Armour with fumbling fingers. I finally manage it and am about to shadow jump when Caius appears behind me.
He massages my shoulders and says,"leaving so soon?"
"Caius!"I say"I'm going to be late!"
"Uh huh,"he says,arching a eyebrow.
"I'm serious!"I say,frustrated. "Don't you have to get to Ronan too?"
"Yeah,well, bye Wreath."he kisses me and then he's gone.
I roll my eyes and shadow jump right smack into base command.
I'm just about ten minutes late(curse my Armour)so everyone stares when I shadow jump right on top of the table. Stupid. I jump off and Stern says"nice of you to join us,"
I feel myself blushing and mutter an apology.
A few sniggers come from the back but a glare from Stern silences them.
This kind of thing happens quite often,unfortunately.
After a boring war strategy council meeting that lasts until lunchtime,I finally get to go to the mess and get lunch. My Best Friend,Sharin,sits next to me.
"So how's Caius?"
"Doing well,as expected,I guess,"I reply.
"Mmm okay,"is the only aresponse I get before Sharin sticks her head in a book and is lost in dreamland. This is how our conversations have been lately because Sharin is having really bad migraines and she said the only thing that helps is a book.
I finish my lunch and put my tray at the tray return,ready for a session of a odd mix of wrestling and sword fighting.
