Facts: In grade school, she performed K-rock band Cherry Filter's "Flying Duck" which began her aspiration to become a singer. She auditioned and was cast by S.M. Entertainment at the SM Global Audition in Seoul in 2012. She graduated form School of Performing Arts Seoul in February 2015. In 2015, Joy gained public interest by joining the fourth season of reality show We Got Married, where she was paired up with BTOB member Yook Sung-jae.
