Chapter 8

"I'm here!" Kirè yelled from outside the door.

"Its unlocked!" Tokemi yelled balancing plates and silverware.

"Ok," Kirè walked in and sat at the dining table.

"Paris! Adi! Kirè is here!" Tokemi yelled placing dinner on the table.

"Ok," I said walking down the stairs with the help of Paris. We reached the bottom of the stairs and walked to the table. Paris got greeted KinKai who flew onto her shoulder.

"How's you're leg?" Kirè asked.

"Its fine," I said.

"How's your power?" I asked.

"... its there... sorta," Kirè answered sitting at the table.

"Its my fault I'm sorry, oh yeah I have something to tell all of you," I said.

"Yeah what is it?" Paris asked putting KinKai down.

"I'd like to know," Tokemi said putting the finishing touches on dinner.

"You know how I was late to get back home?" I asked and Tokemi and Paris nodded, "I was talking to one of my teachers about DeShawn and he said we could do research on him ,if we took a vacation. Tomorrow we are all leaving M.M.A. to find books and legends about DeShawn and figure out what powers are used to bring him back. Kirè is coming too,"

"Thats great!" Kirè exclaimed while taking a plate from Tokemi and started eating.

"Where are we going?" Paris asked.

"To Germanstine of course," Tokemi stated.

"Yep exactly. They are know for having all the legends and books of DeShawn and other great wizard," I agree.

"They don't like outsiders though," Kirè pointed out.

I looked down at the ground and then at Paris and then to Tokemi and finally to Kirè, "We're not outsiders Kirè we were born there and loved there until our parents died," I spoke quickly.

"Oh ok," Kirè said poking his food.

"Don't worry they know us and they'll let you in too," I encouraged.

"I should get going," Kirè said and walked out the door.

As soon as he closed the door he fell on his knees breathing deeply.

"I can't keep this up," he sighed and started walking back, "if only I could tell them."

"That's what you get boy," Kirè heard a sweet kid's voice in his head.

"So that's what you sound like Zaki," Kirè whispered.

"Yes. If you do not want to die do me a favor, kill Adrian," Zaki whispered and Kirè nodded.

In the room.....

"Did Kirè look pale to you?" Tokemi asked cleaning up the dishes.

"Yeah just a little," Paris agreed helping me up and helping me sit on the couch.

"He seemed off," I stated.

"Yeah ,but its probably like you two still hurt from two nights ago," Tokemi reminded.

"You got hurt too you know. You can't keep doing this to yourself, you tried and you also got a concusion," I said.

"But all the rest of you get severely injured and me," He argued.

"No I won't listen to you anymore neither will Adi. You tried we all tried ,but nothing happened," Paris put her foot down.

"Ok ok. Do you want cookies ,fudge ,or brownies?" Tomemi asked.

"Fudge!" We yell in unison.

"Wow you almost sound like the twins," I heard Tara's voice in my head.

"Grrr. I do hate when people go into my mind," I thought.

"I'm just here to warn you that Kirè is gonna try and kill you tomorrow on the tram so go with Paris and have Tokemi go with Kirè," Tara warned.

"Won't that mean he'll kill Tokemi?" I asked worriedly.

"No he is just after you, you see after that fight at Lakeside Zaki has been acting weird and he wants you dead," Tara said and left my head.

"He wouldn't hurt a fly," I whispered.

"What really?" I heard Paris say.

"Ok then," I also heard Tokemi.

"I can already smell the fudge," Paris exclaimed.

"Me too," I said.

"That's because its done," Tokemi declared.

"No way its only been like two minutes," I replied.

"It been two hours, Adi," Paris explained.

"Already then let have fudge," I declared and walk back to the table without help.

"I didn't know you liked fudge that much," Tokemi exclaimed putting fudge in front of me.

"I don't even feel it anymore," I said and ate the fudge.

"Once you finish please go to bed," Tokemi reminded as I finished.

"Ok," I walked upstairs with Paris following me, " good night everyone."
