"Did you find everything ok?"

The cashier asked you as she scanned the last of your items. You nodded, took out your money and paied.

"Have a great evening ma'am", she said after you.

"You, too."

You walked out the store and towards your car, bags in hand. After you found out that your dad still tried to ward you from the Winchesters and the three of them talked about the case, you had decided to go grocery shopping to have something to cook dinner with. Honestly you only went out because you needed to calm down, the anger over your father almost made you throw a scene back then. This helped, a little at least, but it made you come up with a plan how to handle this.

You needed to talk with him.

As you reached the car, you got in, put the bags next to you in the passenger's seat and drove off, back to your childhoods home. During the drive you thought about how the conversation with your dad would run down, so that when you arrived at your destination you had it all planned out in your head.

But as it always is, it's never they way you planned it.

"Hi guys, I'm back from the shop. Got us something nice to eat", you announced as you came in through the front door, bags in hand.

There was no response, though, and no one entering the hallway figuring you might need a hand. You frowned and made your way towards the kitchen, where you placed the ingredients you had bought on the counter. Nobody in there either. The door to the adjacent room was closed which had never been the case.

As you walked over you could hear voices from the other room, that sounded like a heated discussion, from which you couldn't make out any words. So you opened the door and looked inside.

Bobby was sitting behind his desk, hunched over an ancient looking book. Sam was standing beside him, leaning forward, his hands resting on the desk. Dean was leaning against the wall next to the bookshelf, where you almost hand't seen him from where you were standing, if he hadn't been a couple of inches taller than the shelf. They were all talking at the same time but stopped as they heard the door to the room open.

Three pairs of eyes were now on you. When they had spotted you all their expression chnaged. Before they looked angry and confused, now Sam looked at you curiously while Bobby had surprised written all over his face, only Dean seemed to be happy about your arrival as he smiled at you. It was a short lived, though, because he averted his eyes immediately when he noticed Bobby's angry stare on him.

That's when you decided to foollow through with your plan right now. So you straightened your back and held you head high.

"Dad, I need to talk to you."

"Can't it wait? We're almost having a break through regarding the case."

Your father had always put you on hold when he was working an important case- which you understood and never complaint about, he would always have time for you eventually- and the 'almost' you heard for the thousands time only meant a few more hours or in this case tomorrow.

"No, Dad, it's important."

You didn't want to seem desperate- especially not in front of Dean, but your attempt to sound like you wouldn't take no for an answer was a little shaky.

"Darlin', I promise I will talk to you as soon as we're done here. Why don't you start to make something for dinner, there should be something in the fridge."

His words were accompanied by a smile which only made you sigh and turn around, walking back into the kitchen. You knew you should stand your ground, but he hadn't even heard or noticed you went to the store to buy some things made you see how lost he was in the hunt. So you concentrated on your task to make dinner for the three men in the other room. Who knows, without you they would probably starve tonight and you could always talk to your dad the next day, it wasn't like someone was dying.
