I Met Him On Minecraft

Chapter 11

I woke to the sound of running water. Hale must have woken before me and snuck off to the shower. I roll over and check my phone. Another million messages from Jason.

"Princess??" his messages started nice then they became angry "why the hell aren't you answering????"

"Sorry, I was out with friends then I slept over" I sent him back

"Will you be home soon?" ugh he could be soooo annoying

"Soonish. I'll message you again when I'm home" I locked my phone and ignored all other messages from him. I could hear Hale getting out of the shower and I really don't want to lose him. I really do love him. I snuggled back under the covers of the bed, drinking in the smell of him.

He snuck back in from the shower, creeping into the room. He was trying to be silent but he tripped on a box he'd left lying on the floor. I moved under the covers, not knowing what had happened. I felt the bed suddenly sink under his weight and stuck my head out from under the covers, yawning

"I'm sorry baby" his voice was soft and companionate "did I wake you?"

"no. I was already awake," my voice was a little horse from sleep. He was looking at me and smiling. He leaned down and kissed me softly on the lips

"breakfast?" he suggested. I nodded then slipped out from under the covers and into the chill of the morning. I put a jumper on over my pjs to keep me warm and grabbed the lord of the rings movie so we could watch it while we eat.

We walk into the kitchen and he starts pulling out pots and pans

"How do you like your eggs?" he asks as he gets out some eggs

"Um" I thought. My brain was so slow "however you have them"

He smiled and cracked some eggs into the pan. They sizzled loudly, spitting angrily. I laugh as Hale ducks to narrowly avoid a bit of oil, air born from the eggs. He goes on cooking and I walk into the lounge room to put on the last lord of the rings. The title music plays loudly as the menu pops up. I turn to look at Hale but he has been lost behind a cloud of steam. I can smell the eggs and freshly cooked toast

"Breakfast is served!" he announces, stepping into the room with me. I flop onto the lounge and he passes me what is basically an egg sandwich. I never realised how much I loved them

"Ready?" I ask, swallowing my mouthful of food

"Yep," he gets comfortable beside me and we watch the movie in silence except for the sounds of us munching on our food

After a disk change and the making of popcorn, we came to the end of the movie. I was in tears, over emotional from what had happened. I felt something wet and warm drop on my head and I realised that Hale was crying to. I snuggled into him then, waiting until I was sure he had stopped crying before I moved to turn off the movie.

"You ok?" I asked as I put the disk back in its case

"Yeah," he reassured me. He mum walked in the door then with his sister in tow

"Hello" she smiled at us. Elli launched herself at me straight away, not even bothering to take her shoes off first

"Hey Mum," hale laughed, looking down at Elli and I

"Mum got me a new dress today!!" Elli's eyes were full of excitement

"Really? Can I see it?"

"Yes'" she detached herself from me and I got up off the floor. She grabbed a frilly pink dress out of a bag the Rachel had been carrying and held it up for me to see
