"Guys, I'm taking a job at Rosewood High." Toby says.
"What?" I hear Spencer say.
"Yeah, they need someone to teach the driving class. But it's only on Monday-Thursday. So, I can take the night shift at the station and then teach, and Spencer can stay at home with Brooke and Aiden."
"What? No. Toby, you are already gone so often, Brooke misses you. Plus, she is in school all day, so I'm just left with Aiden now. It's really no big deal. Promise, you don't have to do this."
"I know that I don't have to, Spence, it's just...I feel like I need to. You do so much for the kids and I, and I feel like I should take on more responsibility."
"You will be in a world of hurt if you take that job, Toby. I will be stressed more than I am now. If you really want to help me, take less shifts at the station."
"Spencer, I can't help with the kids, that's just, not my scene, but money, I can make money."
"Money isn't everything, it's a lot, but not everything. You need to have a relationship with Brooklyn. And, eventually Aiden. They are your children, and you don't even know Brooke's favorite food."
"I guess, but that doesn't mean that I can't just take less shifts and work at the school, right?"
"That's okay. But make your kids more of a priority than Sunday night football."
"Shots fired." Hanna says.
"Ya, dude, savage." Caleb remarks.
Coming back to reality, Spencer and Toby start laughing at their previous conversation. They were a predicament.
Dang, we needed more of a life than each other. But overall, we found our inner bliss. And that's all that matters.
