The Lighting Kingdom Part 1 { ON HOLD }

Chapter 2

Ruji then made it into the park with the three men running after him.

Ruji: " Where is your house ?"

Old man: " It's over there by the Do Not Enter sign."

Ruji: "But it says don't enter but you live there ?"

Old man: "Which is exactly why I don't get robbed."

Ruji: "Good point"

BAM ! The man in the front shot a bullet at Ruji and the old man.

Old man: "Over there ! ", yelled the old man. " Can't you shoot another lighting bolt or something?"

Ruji : "No I'm not able to shoot lighting when I'm nervous."

Old man : "Why are you nervous, your not the one getting shot at!"

Ruji : "Why are you yelling!"

Old man : "Because I'm nervous!"

Ruji : "So am I !"

Old man : "Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!"

Ruji : "Stop yelling in my ear! "

Old man: " Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!! Oh wait , there in that hole."

Ruji : " Your house is a hole ? "

Old man : "Yes and ....."

BAM!!!!!!

Old man : "Ahhhhhhhh !"

The bullet pierced the old man's left shoulder and the wound on his side was bleeding worse. "I have to hurry and get him in . I hope he's right and this isn't a trick. " Then Ruji hoisted the  old man and looked at the ominous black hole , it was about 10 feet wide, and dark smoke slowly crept out of the hole.

"Here goes nothing", said Ruji and he jumped in the hole.

Ruji slowly opened his eyes , " Where am I ?" He squeezed his hands shut and felt damp- paper like things under his hands. He's body ached all over and he thought he heard a faint voice. As he slowly gained conscience the voice got louder.

Unknown: " Don't die Shiba , please don't die!

Then Ruji slowly lifted up and saw a shadowy figure bent over the old man , whose name is apparently Shiba. He slowly got up and looked around. It seemed like he was in a forest . He couldn't believe since they were just in a park. Then he slowly made his way towards Shiba and the figure.

Unknown : " Who are you ?! Did you do this to him?! Don't come any closer! If you did this to I swear that I'll .......

Shiba : "SHUT UP!!! Your constant yelling will kill me before the wound does!"

"Sorry ", says the figure meekly. " Come here boy.", says Shiba as he slowly lifted himself up.

Ruji : " Yes"

Shiba: " To tell the truth, I might not make it. It's to late to go to the hospital and those men might still be there. I know you think it's stupid that I decided to come home even though I had a chance to save myself, but there are other more important things to do.  I'm old and don't have a lot of fight left in me, so will you do me favor?"

" Sure",said Ruji even though he was slowly starting to tear up. Even thought he just met the man, he couldn't help but cry. He was still a human being with a family who love or loved him sincerely.

Shiba : " This is Muromi. She is my servant and protector. I want you to become her next master. I know you may not want one but even if you don't need her for anything , I need you to become her master so no one else does and ........"

- Cough cough-

He started to cough up blood and drool out his mouth. The figure besides him who must have been Muromi started to cry again and patted his mouth dry.

Shiba:  " You may not understand  yet , but she is a person with  very "special " powers. Even if she can't use them yet, I need you to become her master so that  no one misuses them. I think that you are a good person and I hope that you are. I'm not forcing this on you. If you don't want to then you can leave and forget about everything that happened tonight. If you chose to become her new master , there will be a lot of changes in your life and hers. There will be danger  too. She will fill you in  on everything else."

He griped Ruji's shirt tightly and pulled his face  closer to his Ruji's .  Ruji met his eyes and was shocked. This old, elderly old man who was just yelling in his ear a few minutes ago had a serious look on his face. His eyes looked  empty and he could feel this odd aura coming from the old man. It was as if he could see straight through Ruji and could read his thoughts. His grip got tighter and then he spoke.

Shiba: " Answer me truthfully, will you become her master and look after her."

Ruji: " I ..........

Shiba:   "Be careful what you say, because if your lying and mistreat her even once, I'll come back from the grave and  make you  and everyone you love suffer to the point that death will be their only salvation ! Understand?"

Ruji : "Yes, I will become her knew master and take care of her so no one else misuses her powers.", Ruji said and the old man lessened his tight on his shirt and lunged forward and started throwing up blood everywhere. Muromi lunged forward and caught him . When he got done Muromi slowly placed him on his back and griped his wrinkly prune hands tightly.

Shiba : " Listen to me Muromi, you will listen to him and protect him since he will protect you. If I trust him, then  you can too.

Muromi: " You said that last time and the guy you brought with you tied me up, put makeup on me, and then tried to marry me in place of us old wife."

Shiba: " Uuuhhh- ahem- Let's forget that , it was an accident and I rrrreeeeeeaaaaallllyyy trust this guy this time. Remember what I've told and taught you and don't mourn my death. It was near my time anyway.  Remember, no matter what, DON ' T GO NEAR ANY MIRRORS. Boy, keep her away from mirrors  okay."

Ruji nodded his head in silence and Muromi patted Shiba's head. For the next ten minutes , they listened to Shiba's  heavy breathing till he made his finally cough of blood and closed his eyes for the very  last time.
