Today was the dreaded day of Skylar's party. I had no idea what to do, when I woke up in the morning. The walk to school was very pleasant. At least I had some time away from my family and school fellows.

My worries returned as soon as I entered the school gates. Hilda was standing, taking to Harvey and showing him my photo. It was still very popular, of course, it had only been one day. I kept sending covert glances at them.

Harvey didn't look very happy and was shaking his head. Hilda frowned at him and shook her head in return. It looked like they were arguing over something.

Good for Harvey, Hilda got her own way, way too much. It was about time he started disagreeing with her; and stopped being lured into evil schemes. Hilda is to blame whenever he does something wrong.

What am I thinking? I hate that guy. Why am I reasoning for his actions? He's not a kid. He knows what's right and what's wrong.

I shook my head to clear it from thoughts of Harvey, which kept pestering me since the day he made me almost wet my pants in fear, in the hallway. I couldn't get his glinting eyes out of my head. And surprisingly, Harvey hadn't cornered me for getting him into trouble. To be frank, I was slightly disappointed. I had been expecting an attack and was fully prepared.

I glanced at them again. Lucas had joined them and Hilda was pointing at something in my photo, saying something with a small smile on her face. Harvey had his head down and I couldn't see his expression. Lucas gave a bark of laughter, which made several heads turn and look at them. I turned red and looked away.

Now I come to think of it, I was feeling mildly glad that Harvey wasn't there when Hilda made a scene of embarrassing me in front of the whole school yesterday.

Does that mean he wasn't in on it? Whatever the answer, I wanted to believe that he was innocent.

'Stupid girl,' I scolded myself for my thoughts.

I shook my head again and glanced at them. They were arguing again and Harvey was moving his arms. He was obviously trying to hold in his anger.

'What made him that much angry?' I thought.

Hilda shook her finger at him, scolding him. She grabbed Lucas by the arm and snatched the photo from Harvey's hand before turning to leave. Holding her head high in the air.

Without giving Harvey a glance, I quickened my pace towards my locker. I didn't want Hilda to approach me and taunt me again. But she still succeeded to piss me off because as soon as I reached my locker, I saw another copy of the photo taped to the door.

I ripped it off and crumpled it into a ball before aiming for the bin. I realised my mistake as soon as I saw the paper ball hit the side of the bin and fall on the ground. I know I suck at aims. I growled and stomped to the bin to throw the stupid paper ball inside, which I should have done in the first place.

I opened my locker and took out the books I needed in the classes before recess. I slammed the locker door shut and walked towards the classroom, as quickly as I could, without losing my dignity. What's left of it anyway.

I slipped into my seat, and started reading the textbook. Just to have something to do. Some of the students were throwing taunts at me as usual, hoping that Hilda might hear one and like it. I was so much used to them, that they had no more importance to me than background sounds. I ignored them as easily as I breathed.

Wish I could do the same with Hilda and her cronies. They always had a negative effect on me. I don't know why, but I took notice of their taunts and stunts. I fought back and got angry, and mostly landed myself into trouble. I knew that's what they wanted, but I couldn't help myself. Most of the time I dragged them into trouble with me too. So, it wasn't that bad.
