Chapter 2 (The farm)

I drove behind Daryl on the way to the Greenes farm. We pulled up in front of the farm house where everyone in the house came out to greet us. Carol ran up to Lori and gave her a hug "How is he?" She asked as I got out of my car "He'll live" Lori said with a smile. I smiled at her and giver her a hug then started back to my car "Avia, do you think you can sit with Carl during the service they are having for Otis?" She turned and looked at Hershel "I don't see anything wrong with that" He said "Ok let me get a book" I smiled at him and grabbed a book from the front seat of my car. I walked over to Rick "Here's my keys just in case you need to move my car" before Rick could take the keys from my hand Daryl snatched them from my hand and walked off. I looked back at Rick then back to Daryl as he got in to my car "I'm sorry" I said softly "Nah your good" he said and patted my back. I turned and walked up to the front door where a young blonde girl was waiting "Hi I'm Beth" she said holding her hand out, I shook her hand "Avia" I said with a smile and we walked into the house "Did you know your name means:God is my fathers?" She asked as we headed up stairs "No I didn't, I use to get made fun of because it was such a weird name" "It's a beautiful name don't let anyone tell you any different" she said stopping at the door. I smiled as she opened the door.

I sat curled up in the chair by the bed for a little while "Mom?" I heard Carl say in a half a sleep voice "She be back in a bit sweetheart" I reassured him looking up over the top of my book "Your Daryl's girlfriend aren't you, Avia right" I smiled at the boy and laughed a bit "Who told you that?" I asked with a giggle "I could tell by the way he was holding you by your car, you have a really cool car by the way" "Thanks" "What are you reading?" He points at my book "Game of thrones" I replied putting the picture of me and Daryl into the book as a book marker "Will you read it to me please?" I smiled at him knowing what the book had written in its pages "I'll tell you what you ask your mom, I'll ask her to just to stay on her safe side and we will read a chapter each night. How does that sound?" He smiled at me "Sweet, thanks" I nodded at him when one of Hershel daughter walked in "Thank you for sitting with him" I smiled at her and walked outside headed in the direction of the group. "Hey, how is he?" Lori asked as I walked up "He's good, he wants me to read him game of thrones but he's good" Lori laughed at what I said before walking off. I started to help Glenn with the tent before looking around "Hey, where's my car?" I asked as I put together some tent poles "Over there by Daryl's bike" Glenn point over to it there was a tent set up between my car and his brothers bike "I guess that's where I'm staying" Before a girl with short hair asked him to go in to town with her. I helped Carol put together the rest of the tents before heading over to my car. I jumped up on to the truck of the car and stared in to the wood "Here" I looked over my shoulder to see Shane hands me my crossbow. I hopped down off the back and went to grab it from him "Thanks" he yanked it away "We are keeping your guns but I figured you would want this" "Thanks can I have it?" "Ever since you so cute and you asked nicely you can have it back" He gave it to me looked me over and walked away "Creep" I turned and grabbed the hand of the car and pulled on it. It didn't open "Come on"I sighed and rested it against the tire, then laid in the grass and stared up at the sky.

"Are you hungry?" I opened my eyes to see Andrea standing over me. I nodded and followed her over to the others. We eat in silence. Carol let a tear fall from her eyes here and there before heading back to the RV "Do you happen to have the two towers?" I heard T-Dog ask I looked over at him "I do but it's in my car and Daryl has the keys" "I'll get it from you later then" I nodded before thanking then then walked back over to my car. I laid on the trunk when Daryl walked up "Can I have my keys?" "What for?" He asked his voice sounding some what cheerful "I need something from the glove box" I had my eyes closed until I felt more wight on the back of the car I opened my eyes to see Daryl looking at me "Do ya need another one of your book" he asked holding the keys in his hand "No I need something else" I said reaching for the keys. He didn't release them to me, he grabbed a hold of my hand "Come on Dixon hand them over" He smirked at me "What will ya give me for it". I looked him over and sighed "You will get the chance of not seeing me on the ground violently shaking". his face turned confused "What the hell you talking bout?" "In the glove box or the center console there a pill bottle I need it" He sighed then walked to the driver side door looked around then returned with the bottle in hand "Here" He said handing me the bottle. He watched me take a pill from the bottle after taking it I rested back against the window "I'm trying to conserve them" "Whatach taking pills for?" "For the same reason why my dad use to take them" I sighed "Epilepsy". There was silence between us for a good moment before I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning inside the tent me car keys where placed on my boots next to it my medicine. I changed into a pair of cutoff sand a hot pink tank top and put my hair into a messy ponytail. I walked out side of the tent and unlocked my car putting my medicine back and grabbed my chucks and the book t-dog asked for. I walked over to where mostly everyone else was. I handed T-Dog the book and he handed me the first book "Where did everyone else go?" I asked looking around when Andrea called out "Walker!" I watched as everyone grabbed their stuff and ran off to the field I ran back to my car and grabbed my crossbow and followed after them "Avia wait!" Dale called as I ran by I stopped running when I saw all the guys had stopped Rick had his gun pointed at 'Daryl' I said to myself when I heard a gunshot and Daryl dropped to the ground "Daryl!" I screamed dropping my bow and ran over to the guy to only be grabbed by Shane. Shane let me go and helped Rick bring Daryl to his feet my hands covered my mouth before Glenn handed me Daryl's bow as Andrea and Dale ran over "Oh my god is he dead?" Andrea questioned as Dale handed me my bow "No you just grazed his head" he said as they dragged him by "Guys isn't this Sophia's?" T asked making us all turn back to him. I walked back to our tent and placed our bows in the tent then I walked to the house. I knocked on the door Maggie let me in "Hon you don't have to knock" she said letting me in "sorry force of habit" I said "He's upstairs" She said and led me to his room. I walked inside and closed the door "What the hell where you doing Daryl?" I asked crossing my arms and glaring at him "God damn woman I don't have to answer to you" I sat on the bed "Well out of everyone here I know you better then them to answer the damn question". He sighed "After finding that damn doll. I was throne from the horse off the cliff. Arrow in my side and everything. I tried to pull myself up and fell. I saw Merle" He looked down at his side then back to my eyes "So you saw your brother then went bat shit crazy, you come back here with ears around your neck and a blood trail running from your mouth" I rested my hand on his face looking for answers until Carol came in and I got up from the bed "Thought you might be hungry, I brought you a plate. Avia, Lori has a plate made for you down stairs" I smiled and walked downstairs "Here you go sweetie" Lori said handing me a plate "Thanks" I smiled and sat by Beth "Hey" She said softly "Hey" I said taking a bit of food "Is he your boyfriend, the guy that got shot today?" She asked. I looked at my food for a moment. What where we? You mean we never really broke up. I love him. He kissed me. I shook my head "I wanna answer yes but I'm not even sure" "I think he love you" I smiled "That's not the first time someone has told me that today" she smiled and looked over at her boyfriend. After I had finished I went in to the kitchen and cleaned my own plate then headed back to camp "Hey girly" I heard Shane's voice call from behind "What do you want?" He walked up to my side then I started to walk away "I bet your going to be pretty lonely in that tent with out that redneck to keep you company" he said with a cocky smiled "I'll make due" "I wouldn't mind taking his place". I stopped and turned around "Your going not be in that tent alone then cause I'm sleeping in my car" I said turning my back to him and continued walking.
